And need more help...please

Well, with the stress regarding the situation with my husband mentioned in my other post, I was hoping to get good news on another front, but I am just confused. I asked what to do now about Thomas and got 28.5 to 32. This seemed to be saying time to do something, but I wasn't sure what, so I asked some other questions. Should I forget about him? 6.2.6 to 45. Should I email him? 24.3 to 36. Prospects for us? 60 unchanging (not promising) so asked then shouldn't I forget him and got 2.5 to 8. Asked for clarification on what to do and got 24.1 to 2. 24 is repeated twice so I think that is significant, but that is usually about returning to yourself, not another person, so I am unclear about the original answer of 28.5 to 32. I used all 4 of my books, Wilhelm, Kirshner, Huang and Denning and just ended up muddled in the head. I will look at it again tomorrow and check the archives, but in the meantime, would love to have some other input. Thanks.

and to add to the confusion, I asked one more clarifying question, what path should I take with thomas and got 38.4.5. Not sure if it makes a difference, but I asked this question on a different site, one that also has tarot and runes. When I'm confused I sometimes ask all 3 oracles and get different perspectives or sometimes the I Ching answer becomes clearer from reading the others, etc. I was getting what I thought were rather dismal readings, but then this??? Going to bed now, been a long week.

I've read your previous post, I'm sorry for you, even if we don't know each other.
Hex 28 talks about Greatness in excess; something is too big or heavy in your life.
It's obvious it refers to the situation with your ex-husband;
Bradford's translations says:

The lake rises over the trees
Greatness in excess
The noble young one, accordingly, stands alone (and) undaunted
(And) steps back from the world without sorrow

I know it is not easy to step back from this situation without sorrow..

If I can talk frankly, line 28.5 suggests to me something like, if you should find a young lover, and let your ex husband go to hell, there should be nothing to blame.

IC does not suggest you to find a young lover; I think it means you are so stressed by the situation you could do such things and nobody could blame you.

Anyway hex 28 means for me, your situation is too heavy to bear alone; maybe 28.5 means seeking or finding help from someone.

Thank you for your sympaythy and support. Since Thomas is 4 years younger than me (not exactly robbing the cradle, but it fits), that line did seem to fit. Still not sure what I am being told to do though. I looked through the archives and just got more confused. I could see it saying to move on, focus on myself and take advantage of other opportunities or I could see it saying time to do something to move this situation along, but not sure what that would be.

since the last question was asked on a different site and I wasn't sure if it was a good one or not, I decided to reask the same question here. what path should I take with thomas? 38 again, but this time lines 2 and 6 changing. seems pretty consistent though, guess Yi speaks to me whatever avenue I take to ask the question. so, any suggestions on this one. In the readings above I was leaning towards the interpretation that I needed to move on, painful as that is, but this reading seems to say the oppisite, or is that wishful thinking??? Help

So, where is everybody? Guess I'm muddling through on my own today. Asked another clarifying question, what do I need to know about me and Thomas? 40.6 Hope that bodes as well as it seems.

Sorry, you have not been privy to my long saga. Brief history, well as brief as I can make it. Was in a loveless, somewhat abusive situation (though did not realize it for a long time) with a bi-polar husband, who decided to spice up our life we should try an open marriage. I know now that I agreed because I was looking for something. I found it in Thomas. When I realized that, he decided to pursue someone else, did not want to break up my marriage, and I decided to try to repair my marriage. However, after many months of counseling, my husband asked for a divorce, and I agreed that our marriage was irreparable. Not long after, hurricane Charley ripped through Florida, and I emailed Thomas to see if he was ok as he was in one of the harder hit areas. He emailed back to say he had missed me and would like to see me. I went to the bar that night where he works, only to find that he had broken up with his girlfriend 2 weeks before and she had suddenly decided she wanted him back. He took some time to think, my husband sent him a nasty email telling him he broke up our marriage (totally not true, my husband broke up our marriage by alternating between abuse and neglect), but the result was he went back to her. But I still love him very much and cannot seem to move on. Up until the last week all the readings I got, for both Yi and Tarot seemed to indicate that I needed to wait and the situation would change. But with these latest answers, I am bit confused. And sorry for confusing you. I got used to everyone knowing the background. So, now that you know the story, does that change your interpretation???

Seeker, I think that hex 38 addresses the need to have ones own space and individual freedom. Hex 40 seems to confirm that, because it is also related to freedom (freeing oneself).
So being free and enjoying it is perhaps the first priority now, after all it looks like you have escaped from a kind of prison recently.
That doesn't mean that Thomas is out of the picture but my impression is that the Yi says: first be free, then many thing are possible.
Does that make sense to you?

Very quickly, since I am supposed to do other things in this office, 38 in relationships, at least in my experience, but also explicitly said by Da Liu, means two women loving one man, this is consistent with Thomas, his gf and you.

Line 2 and 6 seem positive with respect to an encounter with Thomas.
Hex 38 however means there could be obvious problems with his gf.

Working on it Martin, but it isn't easy, though I asked this morning generally about the rest of my year and got 52.1.6 which I interpreted to mean that I will be attaining it by the end of the year. Line 6 talks about the end of life and finding tranquility, heres hoping.

Your interpretation seems very apt. I am unfamiliar with Da Liu, will have to look that one up. Oops, duty calls, more later.
