Well, that was fun, wasn't it? Now the site's here, now it isn't, now it is...

Looks like there was a single visitor causing the problem by requesting information several times a second from the forum's RSS feeds, and hence using up all the bandwidth (and more). If you are reading this, it wasn't you - as I've blocked that visitor from accessing the site. I've also turned off the RSS feeds, just in case this happens again with someone else. So sorry, no I Ching Community in your feed reader, if you were using these. But on the positive side - you're seeing a website, not a 509 Bandwidth Exceeded error page...

A kind of cyberspace vacuum monster or black hole, huh?

Congrats and thanks for getting us back online.

Exactly. The Attack of the Cyberspace Vacuum Monster. (Is that not what it said on the error page?)

Compared to the record snowstorms, earthquakes, tsunami warnings, bombings, etc of these days it is not terrible suffering; more like hex 48.4 though Benj Franklin noted you can't appreciate the water until the well runs dry (hex 47) and can't continue at all until the well is back to normal.
