Are our feelings an illusion?

Hello all,

Why I'm asking this question to the forum is because as of late, I've been struggling emotionally and spiritually in my life with a few situations, and, of course consulted the Yi. The question I posed was taken right from this site and I felt was very appropriate, it was:

"Please show me an image of myself at present"

answer:

Hexagram 26
9 initially
6 at 5th
9 at 6th
Changes into Hexagram 48

Hexagram 26? Great Accumulating? I thought this is weird since I'm feeling so distraught, unless I'm mistaken this is kinda favorable. But I do not understand the 9 initially:
"This is heading inot danger. Stop. End the adversity now. If you bring things to a head and leave, you will reap the crop. Things will turn out to your advantage."

What is Yi telling me here? what should I stop? I can't seem to make the connection of the transforming lines.
9 initially- sounds like danger
6 at 5th- sounds promising
9 at 6th- I'm walking Heaven's highway...cool!!!

Why are the lines so contrasted here? And I don't relate to Hexagram 48 in this reading? In one of my other posts I asked "how much influence do we have over the Yi," and met with some insightful replies. I guess I don't understand this process. Here I was feeling really miserable and got an answer ffrom Yi that I wasn't expecting. So, are our emotions an illusion? Please educate me.

Thank you all,

grnd

You asked for an image of yourself and drew Hex 26, which talks about great restraint which has, as a byproduct, the accumulation of energy. That's it. On some level, you're greatly restraining and building up energy. (This would explain why you're distraught.) This pattern is also making a well out of you - you're accessing the depth in you as a result.

Two of the changing lines (26.1, 26.5)include advice about ending a dangerous aspect of the situation - (maybe you're too charged up?) - but they all offer positive opportunity or aspects.

However, with all those changing lines, it's good to consider the main text of 26: have you considered the idea of moving outside the familiar for some new input, and have you considered the idea of spending some of this accumulation you've built up by being really active with life's projects?

By the way, I'm no mentor. I just give people my take on what I see in the Yi's responses to their questions. If you want a mentor, you're going to have to look harder, I think lol.

Dear Dobro,

Believe me...EVERONE that takes the time to respond to questions is my mentor. It's obvious that you and other members have been at this alot longer than I have. "Accumulation of built up energy", that would have never even occured to me. Interesting though, because as of late I do feel frustrated. Like I'm preparing for something, but that something hasn't presented itself 100% yet. I never thought about storing energy for future withdraw like water in the well.
