Update to clarify...
  • When - up to you; please vote in the poll. If we don't get a dozen or so people showing interest for either Saturday or Sunday, we can postpone until the New year
  • What - exploring a shared reading. The subject of the reading's also up to you - suggestions?
  • How/ Where - probably via Skype, unless there are too many people for that, in which case I'll find a solution that works for everyone.
Please note that Skype is free and very easy to use - but you do need a computer microphone - a headset, to be safe. If you can't get set up with one of those in time, you can still join the call - email me your phone number, and I'll call you from Skype to connect you in. So unless you have neither a computer nor a telephone (cellphones OK in the US/Canada, landline required elsewhere), you can join this one.

~~~
Kevin is available now to fit in one more trigram journey before Christmas - it'd be next weekend, Saturday 20th or Sun 21st. This one'll be on Skype/phone, so it's just as available to Mac people as Windows, and if your microphone blows up/ dies/ is eaten by the dog, just send your phone # and we'll call you to add you to the conference. So in theory there will be no technical problems (and how jinxed is that?), and this is just a question about timing.
Last weekend before Xmas? Sat or Sun? Or leave it until Jan?
Hence the poll.
I have a few questions....what time would this be ? and what trigram?
personally, I am not sure the trigram safaris attract that many would- be journeyers.........what of the idea of doing some kind of magical guided journey of another sort? I like the idea of a gathering during this season when miracles seem so close to the surface.....and I love the prospect of Kevin's leadership...but what if we did a group reading or asked some kind of question before hand that everyone could divine about and then take a guided journey to the place of meaning for each of our responses.......we could be very creative about this.......and what about opening it to all forum members, not just change circle, since then there might be a bigger showing.
my feeling is that it could be a clarity open house"holiday gathering" with a guided journey and a reading for perhaps the close of a year would be something that everyone would want to drop in for, and have a chance to say hello to each other at ths time of year....that sort of thing...sort of like the traditional office party.but this would be a fellowship party.....whaddya think?
just throwing ideas around.
Thunder, and 6 or 7pm UK time, which is late morning to mid afternoon across the US.
It's true that the numbers have dropped off, but I think this is at least partly because people had bad experiences with the webinar room technology, and gave up on it.
Mm, interesting thought. I'm not sure about one journey for many individual readings, but casting and somehow travelling through a reading for the group is an enticing thought. I've always been drawn to the idea of making a group journey through a reading landscape. But this is Kevin's department - not just because he's the one who's so very good at leading these journeys, but also because I won't have time to prepare anything worth mentioning between now and Christmas. (Grmph.) Kevin? How would you feel about a walk through a reading?
I like the idea! Though if the numbers increased much, I'd need to find different technology, something remotely-hosted: I've an idea that Skype conferences all depend on the internet connection of the person who initiates the call and adds people to it. I don't know what a sensible upper limit would be for that. Any geeks here who could help? (I do actually have another option in mind - Gotomeeting has the same sorts of functions as the room we've been using, is Mac-compatible, and I've only read good things about it. People even have a choice of phone or VOIP.) We're a bit pushed for time to arrange something like this, with contents (any suggestions for a question?) and technology and making sure everyone knows about it. It could be done, though...
Hi Bamboo
Yes – I like the idea of a holiday Gathering – Open and with lots of creativity (and magic) and yes I could try to do a Guided Imagery based on what comes up.
I am not sure whether many readings to a question would be feasible for a guided imagery. How about us all throwing possible questions into a pot, us all choosing one and then one person doing the casting – all before the gathering? Would that be too restrictive?
We could all join in with interpreting it and then I could try to get a theme out of folks responses to do a guided imagery?
Time is short – we will all have to move quickly to do this.
Any good?
Perhaps folk could wade in with their views – I will follow what folk want.
Thank you, Kevin. :hug:
Since we're making this a Clarity-wide party, why don't we have this conversation in the public forum? I think I can simplify that by just moving the whole thread to 'Clarity news'... hold on...
Hi Maurey
If its helpful...
Skype is free to download and use. Costs only come in if you use its advanced features such as answer phone or telephoning landlines or mobile telephones.
In addition to the download a headset is required (headphone and mic) these can be bought fairly cheaply - about $10.00 U.S. or about £15.00 in the UK (last time I looked) - But I would recommend spending a little more as the cheap ones tend to be fragile.
Skype for Mac is here:
http://www.skype.com/download/skype/macosx/
Skype for Linux is here:
http://www.skype.com/download/skype/linux/
Oh, and Skype for Windows is here:
http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/
All the best - hope you can make it.
I completely agree with Kevin's recommendation that you download Skype - it's very useful. But yes, on this occasion you can take part with just your phone. I have a subscription with Skype that lets me call people's phones, so if you send me your phone number I can call you and add you to the conference that way. Or if we have too many people for Skype, I should be able to sign us up for a service that supports phone as well as 'voice over internet' conversation. Thanks for asking!
It is very quiet...
It’s a great idea – I guess it will happen in its own time.
Hi Hilary,
I'm new here and I don't have Skype so I don't know if I'll be able to participate.
Hi Dean - you could always get Skype, it's free. But if you don't have time to get set up, just email me your phone number and I'll add you to the conference that way. If we have enough people interested to make it worth doing, that is. Hi Mary - if you haven't already done so, could you vote in the poll for one day or the other, just to help me keep track of numbers?
hi everyone!
I'd love to join you for this pre-xmas Clarity gathering, I love the idea!
I've already voted for Sunday, but not really good at proposing a question that would apply nicely to all . .:eek: but I'll be happy to go along with your choice :)
hope more people join, this sounds great!
Umm, and, should I send you Hilary my skype address,or how do you organize these things, never done it before . .
If I could I'd slow the whole world down,
I'd bring it to its knees, I'd stop it spinning round,
but as it is I'm climbing up an endless wall... :rolleyes:
I'm so sorry I just can't catch up with these online meetings... and even worse, I didn't even manage to read or listen to the recordings! :bag:
Maybe one day I'll come too... but not this time, sorry... :eek:
New member reply.
Hi Hillary,
I would gladly take part in this shared reading, but I would prefer to ask you a few questions personally beforehand, if that's okay with you. I have had some interesting readings regarding my future. I would prefer to talk over the phone with you, if a convenient time could be arranged. I receive free land line calls anytime, so I can call you, if that's more agreeable for you. Thank you for any enlightenment you can offer.
Jeff:)
Jeff - I'll be in touch by email.
Hm - 8 'votes' for Sunday... experience suggests that might mean 4 people who come on the day... so maybe if some more people sign up tomorrow we could do this? Let's make a threshold of 15 votes.
What to ask? (whether on Sunday or in January)
Utterly random ideas...
What's 'New Year' for?
What do we need to know about creating real change?
What do we need to understand about creating harmonious relationships?
This would be a thoroughly general reading, on the assumption that there are, in fact, things we all need to understand about the chosen topic, and Yi will be kind enough to tell us one of them.
Dear Hillary,
I would like to join on Sunday. I have no Skype nor time to arrange it, though.
Great - looks like were on.
Any suggestions for a question to put to the Yi?
Perhaps something not every day?
I will throw one into the pot to start us off - 'Of Re-incarnation?'
We can choose one of the suggestions and take it from there?
...mm, I asked one years ago about the significance of the Incarnation. Maybe this comes next ;)
I'm sort of keen on asking something we can interact with personally - I mean, something with the potential to change us somehow. A 'what do we need to know about...' or 'how can we...' kind of thing.
Sending out an email now to ask for Skype IDs/ phone numbers and suggestions.
hi everyone!
Love the idea of re-incarnation!
. . but in the meantime I've had some communication problems with the Yi and it occurred to me that perhaps another one could be about the process of asking the Yi, what approach the Yi advises . . I don't know, would that seem too obvious (probably 20 as answer? but one never knows with the Yi). People have often talked about it here and everyone has their own way, meditating or very straightforwardly
so . . really not sure if that's a good idea, what do the rest of you think?
