Hi Ashteroid,

I was looking at this thread:

http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/friends/showthread.php?20916-23-2-5-gt-59-family-relationship

and I realized that although I see what you're doing in these sorts of graphics (which are very impressive, by the way):

--- I don't know what the method is called.

I don't think it's the line pathway that Hilary has written about, since that involves inverting hexagrams, which is not what you're doing.

If it's already been written about somewhere, by you or anyone else, would you mind linking to it? And if not, would you mind explaining it?

Thank you! :)

Hello lisa,

I'm flattered but the 'Transitional Hexagram' method is not mine :) It's described in Bradford's book on page 44.

I've got tired of using online Yi tool to traverse the path step by step, so recently I've written C# program to do it for me. Also in his book 'Heritage of Change' Wallace Andrew Sherill writes about natural cycles of hexes. And there are graphical tables of this cycles which are very interesting.

You can almost see a little story behind each path|transition :)

A C# program. Now I'm even more impressed :).

In this thread, Hilary made a suggestion:

A suggestion

If something about the way you do readings is unfamiliar to most members (eg the method, the text), please edit your signature to include a link to an explanation. (You can always write this yourself in Exploring Divination.)

I think it would be helpful if you'd be willing to do that (you could link to this very thread), since a lot of people may not have read Bradford's book (obviously including me).

Thanks, Ashteroid!

Good idea about the signature! Although I didn't know there was one, eehhm I think I've turned them off in thread view settings.
