Hi, it's me again...
I asked the Yi if it thinks it's helpful for me to ask a question I have in mind( I was precise about what in my question to the Yi) and got 22 moving lines 4 & 6 becoming 30 and I think it tells me yes, it can be helpful. The feeling I get from the answer is something beautiful and light might come out from that (not the heavy no answer I was expecting as I have been bothering the oracle with this issue many times before). However, I might be wrong so your expertise is most appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

thanks both willofox and rosada.
but then the answer looks even more positive 22 - 55.
So I will aks my question. I try to be very careful now, so that is why I first asked the Yi if asking what I am thinking of asking was a good idea.
Thanks again for taking your time helping me. I appreciate it.

ok, so I asked...

...the Question which was: If there was something more I needed to know about a particular situation and got 21 ml 2, 3 4 becoming 26. I understand that yes it is, I have to bite through something. If I succeed in biting thorough I will have a good opportunity of doing something that will be great for me. It looks like I will (or have already) bite through because of line 4?

I then asked 2 "what if" questions: first "what if a) and got 12 with ml 1 becoming 25 and secondly: "what if b) and got 46 without ml. Looks like b is the option for me?. Do you agree?

Thanks to all of you.

How polite of you to ask! ;)

22.4 immediately gets to the point. As Wilhelm puts it, "An individual is in a situation in which doubts arise as to which is better." That would be you. Then 22.6 says, "Simple grace. No blame." Also you. And 55 says, this is the peak of civilization: the time wise decisions are made by the people who have earned their authority. This is your reward for asking so diligently.

To me this is the oracle saying, "Please, ask!"

21.2,3,4 seems to me to say, if you bite into this old situation, you'll find something bitter and difficult buried inside.

I would not underestimate how difficult this might be. You will do nothing wrong, and won't be blamed. Even so, it could be a bitter and sometimes painful experience to bite whatever has gone bad or stuck a sharp edge into the situation.

If you investigate this old problem, you get to 26 which says you have the power to go do the right thing, because decisions are made appropriately by a wise team.

I take this to mean the overall situation is one of hidden problems from the past. As Mission Impossible says, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to discover those problem and clear them out. If you can do this difficult work, then you discover how to fix the causes and create a positive new outcome.

12.1 is yet another way the oracle says, "be true to your own nature." If you are, you get out of the stagnation of 12, into the serendipity of 25. The circumstance improves because your connection with your own nature improves.

46 is about growth from your own character, plus the help of an appropriate authority. 26 shows a team in charge ("the prince" has "the prime minister"). Of options a and b, the reading for b says to go get help from the top experts or authorities. That seems to me to be more consistent with 26 as the outcome of the overall situation. Reading a is also positive, but b seems more immediately relevant.

Ben, I really wish I could bring out this much from the Oracle as yo do! I guess my well is not clear enough yet and my rope too short, however, I live out of hope that also I can be able to grasp things this clear one day. What you wrote is really talking to me. The problem I asked about is indeed a very old one and bearing in mind that I am trying to solve it for years, I start to doubt that I'll ever be able to do it, however, I am terribly stubborn:brickwall: and something inside me is pushing me toward this problem and it's like I can't get peace if it's not solved. That is why option a is more tempting to me, but it's probably more wise to go for option b but I am not sure I can do it...= leave the problem alone, I am therefore relieved when you said that also reading a can be positive. Do you feel like developing your idea of serendipity of 25? I have always wanted to trust serendipity but have never been able to do it, I think, as my mind can never relax hence I have the feeling that I don't let things develop as they want and should because my mind is constantly there to interfere trying to find a solution. Thanks for all the interesting things you brought forth out of my readings and for helping me on my way which is not the easiest one if I may say so without sounding like I am feeling sorry for myself:blush:

It suggests yes there is alot of things to learn about the problem from the past but you are going to experience many obstacles trying to get it, it is going to prove to be a hard deal. Hex 26 also, says that there are things from the past that you do not know about.
Line 12.1 suggests that you do not go chasing after this information, otherwise you will have cause for regret, so let sleeping dogs lie, as the line says not to "undertake" the search, while Hex 46 is a positive sign to leave it alone to go on to better and more fruitful pursuits.

Of course, up to you which course of action you chose to take in the end.

thanks willofox, yes, the option 46 seems to be the best one to follow, not 100% sure though that i am able to resist the tugging with the hope of eventually biting through the obstacle one day.

I'm glad my comments were useful, Plupp.

I absolutely agree with Willowfox about 12.1's warning. It would be very difficult to try to sort out the problem, and you'll get indigestion for sure if you try. Your path should be easier with option B.

Do you have a Wilhelm translation? His introduction to 25 comments about thunder, a sudden noise that is true to its own nature. He then comments, "Starting out with the idea of the natural, the train of thought in part goes somewhat further and thus the hexagram includes also the idea of the unintentional or unexpected." For the image of 25, he comments "In springtime when thunder, life energy, begins to move again under the heavens, everything sprouts and grows, and all beings receive from the creative activity of nature the childlike innocence of their original state." I got to visit some nice gardens yesterday, so I was reminded of all the flowers that pop up in the spring. You can expect they will arrive but you don't know which day, so it's a nice surprise to see them. Do you see how I got to the idea of serendipity?

thanks ben, yes I have the Willem translation in Swedish. I know it's considered the best one but I have a hard time with it, will look again. Beautiful the idea you got from the flowers. It's what I hope for the most that, some flowers will eventually show up also in my garden. The other day I had the image of myself as a field, I have been working on this field a lot, it's there, ready to be used, I've done all possible steps you have to do in order for the field to give harvest, but still no harvest. What is wrong with my field/garden?
ps) in terms of real flower/green plants they grow like never before in my home and in my office and I often get compliments from people who see them. The image of my barren field is more my emotional life. So your idea of the flowers was a good one ben. Thanks a lot.
pps) but despite of the flowers that will maybe pop up from 25, I understand that option a is most likely to fail should I choose that one?
If someone has an idea what to do with a barren field, please, do not hesitate...
just to exchange ideas and writing about it helps a bit. Thanks again.

What is wrong with my field/garden?

That sounds like a good follow up question for the oracle. After all it has a lot of material about the seasons.
