Hello Again!

I thought this could be a good reading to share on this forum. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

So, I have been asking Yi over the last many months about a certain situation that I'm struggling with. I gained a lot insight from the readings though not as much peace as I would wish... Today, I wanted to ask another question as to how things will develop, what I should do, etc. Instead I started with a question: "Can I ask you about this?"

What I got was Hex 2.1.4 changing to 51.

Based on what I read in WikiWing, 2.1 can mean that things will soon change/the potential that is there will start to realize (whatever that may be) and 2.4 that there is no point in asking because, the future is "hidden for the time being" as there is an element of surprise that comes with it (51).. Does that sound right?

Thank you!!

Hi Viola,

I think the crucial point in this answer is 2:1. You can already see the signs of what
is to come. This path leads to Shock. So, no matter what the i ching tells you (2:4)
you will not see it, and when 51 comes, it will feel as a shock because you ignored
the initial warning signs. Hidden line here is 24:4, 'one turns back alone'. I think this
is basically telling you that you need to pay attention to the signs the situation has
already shown you - and that might also include the readings you already cast.

Thank you, Diamanda!

I wonder...is 2.1 indeed a warning? This line often confuses me. Wilhelm talks about ice as the "dark power" but I came accross a meaning that things get solidified in a positive way... But to make it more clear for my situation: I am trying to create a sort of "shock".. You know, the kind of life changing move like when you leave your family home and go off to college. It's when you are ready to start new things in your life (but are really scared of the challenges). Does the Shock in 51 must be something unexpected? Could it be the change I am waiting for or does it need the element of total surprise?

Yes, go ahead and ask anything you like as this answer suggests that you need to get advice here as there are certain undercurrents going on that you need to know about, a need for precautions is indicated so ask away and find out what your best course of action should be.

Line 2.1 is indeed a warning but not to worry, because you simply take a few necessary precautions ahead of the main event.

Line 2.4 adds a further dimension to whatever you were planning on doing, like in taking advice and not doing it as you seem to be up against someone or something that can and will cause you grief, or not letting them know what you are planning to do.

Wow. Thank you, Willofox. It's different from my initial interpretation but sounds accurate! I will take your advice and try to analyze my situation through IChing a bit more. I will also go over all related answers I got in the past, as Diamanda suggested.

I only hope I can get the interpretations right!! :)

Sounds right to me.

I'd add plain h2 in the beginning of it, meaning that the Yi is open to anything you care to ask it.

2.1 is the beginning of a crystallization process, which could very well mean that your question takes on a specific form, which goes into the big empty space of line 4, perhaps a gestation period? What emerges is an energetic, dynamic answer. The child of your question is your answer.

Thank you, Meng! I like the metaphor!

I'm not sure.. but I really think that Yi sometimes uses answers that have double meanings, both applicable. Like in this case, it addresses my direct question but also talks about my situation....
