There are oodles of nice features in this forum we've been neglecting - not least avatars, the little image you can have next to your username on your posts. (See above.) I just changed the settings so you can upload yours from your computer. Please do! A photo would be especially good. :)

Absolutely. I'm a hopeless geek at heart. Also, anything that brightens up all the solemn lines and boxes of the forum can only be a good thing.

Mauuuuwah-ha-ha-ha-haaaaa..... another damsel lured into the Count Topula den of iniquity. :D

Actually, I don't know where she is. I'll PM her and see what happens.

Hi gang,
I thought I was going for a seasonal avatar, but then I took the photo of this pink rose in November . . .

. . . and that was it. I fell in love with it.

Hope my changing my avatar from time to time is not having a dizzying effect upon those who follow my posts. (Ha! I actually believe there may be some people following my posts!)

I like the style of Trojan's and Tiger's avatars. Very tasteful. And sensible. Actually, I like all the avatars and wonder how some of them were produced. I am into all that technical stuff, not that I have much time these days to pursue it.

I can post my picture as soon as my sister gets a copy of her vacation photo to me in my email.
That could be a while given her level of technical savvy and the fact that she doesn't have a computer now. She has a lot of helpful friends though.
For now I will keep my colorful cancerian shell. Plus I'm a bit slow like the critter depicted.
Crabs do live in snail shells in the ocean sometimes. I saw it on TV!!

Yes, that's me, a hermit crab! They like to be at home!
So where was, or is home? And where is your avatar? Maybe you don't wish for one?

The profile pages ...

The avatars look really nice on the page, but I find the profile pages quite dull, if not disappointing.
For some years I wrote on a poetry forum where all the members had photos of themselves, with added gender, age and place of residence. Many of them supplied extra touches, concerning favorite poets, music or whatever.
Somehow it gave a nice/warm human touch to communicating in cyberspace.
Funny, that many people on Clarity share their deepest feelings but hesitate to 'show' themselves ...

On having a heart for a website ...

Hi Bamboo
Sure, can be done, but why remove such a friendly, warm touch from the Clarity website?
Besides, I might over-click myself into cyberspace and get a hundred emails a day, but prefer to keep things simple and :)
