Hi!Greetings from France!
it's my first post and I used 3 coins method.

I'd like what behaviour should I have with a friend of mine. I asked this question" What behaviour do you recommend me to adopt with S..." I'am quite a beginner at reading answers. And yesn she's a woman :)

I use Lise Heyboer site and a bit of Tao of yijing (book), my english is not as good as it used to ben so please forgive my bad writing. Il should improve with time.

I had 4th hexagram "Meng" with 3rd and top yao changing

6 at 3: No benefit of taking a woman who, when she sees a rich man, loses control of herself. No ground for harvest.
Above 9: Beating the ignorant. No harvest: making violence. Harvest: preventing violence.

and it results in 46 "Sheng - step by step"
Ascend
Eminent expansion
Benefit seeing the great man
Do not worry
To set things right in the South: auspicious

Might be chinese for me

thanks for your help!

4.3.6 > 46

Welcome to Clarity, Regardie. Hexagram 4 concerns a youth being trained. Your friend is the teacher, and you are the student. Put ego aside and pay attention to what she says. Line 3 warns against taking the relationship superficially, and line 6 advises you to moderate reproaches. Hexagram 46 concerns 'Pushing Upward', that is, making offerings. Offer her the best in yourself.

thanks pocossin for your answer. As I read your answer, I had some tears in my eyes... I think I totally misunderstood what I thought the answer was.
By the way, yesterday, we're 01/22 here in France, she asked me to drive her to a ballroom and concert, but I refused. Whe met there; At that time, concert was fine, until several of a friends came. She talked with them...I put myself in a withdrawal...All her mob left early, and she left without saying me goodbye...what a pity....

I think my problem, is emotion in this relationship...I don't manage to calm my heart and have my mind thinks clear. When I see her, I'm totally in a mess and criticize a too much and yes, yi is right I take this relationship too superficially. Don't know what to do.

Your answer is quite refreshing for me.

Thank you.

no, you didn't ...
"No benefit of taking a woman who, when she sees a rich man, loses control of herself." means just one thing: she doesn't respect you and nothing futhers

Does line text give a meaning or inspire a meaning? If line text means only one thing, how can it apply to the infinitely varied situations of life? I agree that the line text probably had a definite meaning for its author, the Duke of Zhou according to tradition, but I do doubt that the Duke intended us to limit ourselves to the literal meaning and never go any further. If so, how could the Yi be a vital presence in our lives? In divination the important thing imo is what the text inspires. This is an important problem for me because I am now attempting to explain exactly how I go about doing a reading.

no, sorry Pocossin, when i said only one meaning i meant only one meaning in this particular context and to my understanding .
and yes you are right, the important thing is what the text inspire to you although when you are attached to outcome the inspiration is easily overwritten by thoughts and judgements

Hi !

I took time to read Cyrille Javary's comment about this situation, thing I haven't done yet.
I think I must agree with you both :) She masters relathionship really well at a top notch level I think. And she disregards me as for her, I'm a novice... so she has no respect for novice at that time.
6 at 3 could mean for javary, you're not ready so don't do nothing! Don't even think about it...
9 at top: quoting Javary, this Yao must be read as a part of the teacher and not novice, that she will teach me discipline with authority and firmness about my social behaviour (no holds barred!?)

Alas, Regardie, I would prefer that you did not consult Cyrille Javary. Pardon me for being so undiplomatic because I know both of you are French. Ten years ago I reviewed one of Cyrille's books about the Mawangdui Yi Jing for the Midaughter I Ching group, and it was full of inaccuracies, leading me to believe that Javary wrote about the book without having read it. This topic is awkward for me, because the translator of Javary's work into English is the list owner of Waldenlist, a Yahoo group from which I have greatly benefited. Nevertheless, in this matter I hope your will follow your heart and not the views of me, Gato, or Cyrille.
