Haven’t I seen this reading before?

I’m going to be sharing a few mini-videos of some of my favourite Resonance Journal features. Here’s one about the ‘Cast History’ search.

The point of this is that Yi doesn’t just communicate one reading at a time; the connections between readings can be quite eloquent, too. And sometimes it just makes its point by repeating itself.

A quick look at ‘Cast History’ is the easiest way I know to make sure we get the point.

How does this improve on the search function ? I can get the same result by going to 'advanced search' and putting the reading in and get the same information, I've just tried it. I put one reading into cast history got 2 results, did an 'advanced search' which is the feature I normally use, with the same cast and of course got the same result.

So what's the benefit of this feature over advanced search ? @hilary

I don't mean to be ungrateful but honestly can't see what the difference is ?

It's true you can learn this, and most other things, via advanced search. The difference is basically convenience: the cast history tab is pre-filled with each reading, so finding related readings is 2 clicks away. (3 or 4 clicks if you want to generalise the search a bit.)

Same as the quick filter (left-hand pane) searches just on titles, which you can also do via advanced search, but it takes fewer clicks.

If so rather than them being in Blogs can't they be in a designated place, preferably the Journal section of the forum so they are all together in one place and easy to find. Or at least have a copy of them there ?

Also good idea keep making the videos. I never even noticed 'cast history' before let alone used it.

Good idea - I can get journal-related blog posts to repost in the Journal forum in future (and move this one).
