All chocolate and hazelnut and apple cake! :bounce:

We have a rice cake here which is pretty sticky. :flirt:

Sorry to jump in. I’m sure when my blood pressure is fine and the weather cooler I’ll be able to read all that you have written!

In the meantime, I will follow all your debate with my chocolate layers..

Hi Olga
Sorry to hear that you are suffering from the heat and Blood Pressure. That is possibly connected.

Lots of sugar, lots of heat that needs dispelling, raised BP to get rid of the inner heat.

There as been plenty of research that shows that slowing down ones breathing and reducing the volume breathed in minute has a dramatic affect on BP. As does simple synchronised breathing where one breaths in rythmn with one heart beat. Roughly corresponding to, eventually, as one should never push oneself to hard initially, to a breath in for 5/6 seconds and then a breath out for 5/6 seconds and so on. I do find that following an in breath with an out breath to be extremely useful.

Also some types of intermittent fasting, not the longs ones that last for days, have been shown to have all sorts of benefits including regulating BP.

Sorry it off topic but I think might be worthe sharing.

All the best

I have the opposite problem, it's very low.
One day when at home at my Mom's she scolded me for being slow in doing things, so I measured it and it was down to 68/47 :bag:

But now I'm chewing licorice all day long and am putting salt everywhere and taking a few supplements so it should get better!

Dont worry Olga
The things I have outlined regulate the BP.
It is of course entirely possible to have heat and the body maintains its inner balance, but over compensates. That is a typical reaction.

Interesting on the salt thing. There is significant evidence to show that high salt levels are not connected with BP, it is the type of salt that is important. Dragging things up from my distant memory I think that it is the common table salt that creates many of the problems, I think something to do with the sodium. Not the same problems with sea salt and the pink himalayan varieties.

Still the very best way or regulating most imbalance in the body is to correct our way of breathing. It is such a fundamental way of bodies means of regulation, but instead of being flexible so as to adapt to changing needs, for a number of reasons it gets locked into an imbalnced state. The first indication is that we breath with to much volume, we breath with our chests instead of our diaphragms and we breath with out mouths instead of our noses. If we correct all of those then most of the bodies "ilnesses" disappear.

As its not part of the topic of the thread, If you want to know more just message me privately and I will try to explain it in more detail.

All the best

Dave
