book idea question - hexagram 35 -top line changing

Hi everybody,

I was on this forum years ago, but haven't been for a while.

I have just asked a question that is really important to me, but i am not sure as for how to interprete the answer.

question: is it a good idea to write a new book on the topic of xxx?

i got 35, top line changing. i immediately associate the image with something negative, however, the wilhelm interpretation also mentions possibilities of success.

do you have any input?

This suggests that now is not the right time to undertake your idea, it is more a time of contemplation and hence preparing to do this at a later date, as it appears that this idea has come about quite quickly without a great deal of forethought, so your answer suggests you need to do a lot more research first before you put pen to paper.

makes total sense, it did come up suddenly this afternoon. i hoped it was THE big idea. i Am in a time of preparation, reading and reading and reading, hoping for THE idea...

I started writing my commentary on the Yi in 1976.
I thought I could do it in six months, but it took 35 years,
and it still wants to keep changing. 35.6 might be like
this. You might expect to learn a lot more about your subject
than you thought you needed. That's not a negative thing.
It may be a humbling thing. I certainly wouldn't expect
a lot of royalties anytime soon. But you know what the
Yijing says: yuan heng li zhen.
