Here's my take on it. 41 is a hexagram I've thought a lot about. I think it's about unselfishness, and it's about keeping your eye on what's really important. It sounds negative -- decreasing -- but the hexagram is pointing out the value in sacrificing for something greater. In the context of going to a party, and particularly looking at the moving lines, I would encourage you to focus on other people rather than yourself. For example, is your friend inviting you partially out of her own needs? When you meet people, try to think about what's going on with them, how you can help them, how you can reach out to them. As I'm sure you know from experience, that can often reap benefits for yourself as well.

I tend to think of the relating hexagram as giving context, or talking about internal, subjective states. In terms of context, it makes me wonder if it's describing the end of your previous relationship -- what a relief! It certainly suggests a context where motion might be good, stirring things up, an expression of the release that has occured in leaving your previous relationship.

The reading, in my mind, says nothing about meeting someone from it. I think it's more focused on the process, with plenty of advice about how to approach it. My take on it would be go, focus on other people, be willing to accept and appreciate where you are right now and believe that good things come from it, and enjoy it for whatever it is.
