Car mirrors stolen, again :(

Ok guys, I need your help now.

I was going to have a nice late-evening ride in my car, to relax, to be outdoors after sitting at the computer for the most part of the day.
I went out, and to my surprise I found that my mirrors are gone, again! I almost didn't feel the shock this time. Last time, on the 9th of November, I didn't sleep till 4 am. I was furious and sad at the same time, 'Why ?? What have I done?'.

So I had a dialogue with Yi:

Some context for you guys: I absolutely love this car, the color, the design, seats, knobs and switches, the stability and quality. It has been in my possession since 28.09.2010.
The most interesting thing is, my astral/meditation guru helped me to find the car that i would love.
3 years ago, I didn't know what to buy, and he just scanned the info-field of the Earth and got this image of me driving this car for a long time. I didn't even think about this brand and model. It was a bit too pricey for me. But the first time I saw it, i was in love. And through the years I've discovered little neat features that made me love it even more.

After a year my trunk-lid and a taillight were damaged while the car was parked (700$ to repair, ouch).
4 months later somebody hit my mirrors so that the glass element was hanging on a cable, below the mirror. Mirror cap was broken (100$)
5 months later I did some damage myself, to the right rear arc (150$, ok). First time in 5 years of driving I damaged my car.
Also I had to replace the windshield because of a crack that was growing longer and longer. (250 $)
But the inside parts were working like a clock, nothing did break at all. My first car was older, and was breaking inside, but the chassis/exterior/body was fine, and I wished that the next car will be working like a clock and be sturdy and reliable .

Another note, I do feel that the car is not equal to my resources. Maybe I'm sabotaging myself .. That's why I think maybe it's time to sell.

Each mirror (used) costs about 400$ + 90$ to paint both, 890$ total.

IMO It say you feel overwhelmed and pressured - you need to get a hold of yourself and gather your forces around you or wits about you. Maybe park elsewhere with another group of cars?

You keep getting 45 which means it is wise to take personal precautions, and to protect your own reasonable self-interests and asset(car), because it can easily be lost in a crowded area. Do you park in an unsafe location?

Hi ashteroid, I feel your pain. I sold my much loved 1973 kombi campervan last August with much relief from owning a car that was causing me heartache, such as yours, but with much sadness that I don't own her anymore.
I don't regret selling her for the most part but I do miss the freedom and joy a kombi campervan gives you.

Keep the car Ashteroid just don't take it with you to places where many people gather and it's unsafe and if you take precautions what has happened won't repeat itself. Basically that's what all the hexagrams are telling you.

You have two bird hexagrams. I am compelled to cover side mirrors with plastic bags to protect them from mocking birds and Cardinals. They are covered now. I checked to see if there was protection for side mirrors. There is.

Pocossin, there are no steel guards for Volvo S40 II. Plastic just won't do. They rip the whole thing off.

I'm more inclined to sell it, because I was thinking about it for a while, and I want more ride-height with the roads we have in Russia.

The shop that sold me mirrors last time didn't have any mirrors in stock, so I had to find another one.

I went to this used parts shop, and they show me two mirrors, both black, but one of them had a small but noticeable crack in the outer black bezel/frame. And they didn't have another one. I was hesitant to buy it .. yes it wouldn't 'affect the speed', and if I'm going to sell it anyway why care. So they offered me to buy the older one model (2004-2006). They are not in high demand, less likely to be stolen and the price is only half of what they ask for the new ones (2007-2010).
Technically they fit into my car, because it was made in 2006, in spite of the model year being 2007.
They are just smaller.

I'm sorry about your car, that really sucks. This happens a lot where I live, some people I know, and its not necessarily from nice cars or trucks. The people here basically wreck their own cars, get into an accident, and don't want to buy the replacement mirrors or parts so they steal them from someone else. I hope whatever your decision is ends up being the right one for you. All I see in the readings is taking preventive measures and having something reliable, not worrying about the appearance.

At the risk of sounding flippant - which I am not. You could ask the Angels to take care of and protect your car - whether you believe in Angels or not! lets pretend you do and ask. I once put a £1 pound coin on the floor out side my home, covered it (in my mind) and asked for it to be protected. It stayed there in full view for 3 weeks until I forgot to ask for it to be protected then my next door neighbour picked it up.

I've no doubt many people will think me crazy but I really don't care.

I put a white column of light on the car in my mind, protecting it. And after the first time the mirrors were stolen.

Yes ashteroid, do it every time you leave it. I cover my car with a golden or silver hood - covered completely and ask the Angels to look after it. When my youngest son went out anywhere I would cover him with a warm glowing aura.

I ask them to look after my home whenever I leave it. I went to bed one night leaving my back door wide open. There is a narrow road at the back of my house and often sheds are broken into and things stolen but mine wasn't touched. I'm glad you are going to try it.

Electronic control modules are ok, I hooked up '07 mirror from the shop, and it worked ok.

I got them to test the 3rd mirror ('06) in the shop by connecting the pins directly to the 12V power source, one by one. Satisfied that it works I took it instead of my previous on the right side, just to be sure. It also looks newer and better, but still has black color.

They forgot to tell me that the pinout differs between '06 and '07, while the connector stays the same.
All I have to do is to reconfigure the pins or just use my old wiring that was cut by the robbers and make an adapter from 06 to 07 by soldering.

So I changed the order of the pins in the connector head, right mirror is ok! finally.
Left mirror doesn't have heating I'll have to go to the shop again.. 3rd time the charm

I'm soo tired of dealing with this mess, assembling and disassembling the door panel argh uch:

Sorry, don't mean to laugh. I am not, by the way, a religious nutter - don't believe in 'religion' but I do believe in a helpful Universe (G0D), helpful people/spirits/angels/intuition/subconcious - whatever you like to call it.
I call them Angels because it makes me feel good and it is something definite to focus on, besides they look nice - my version of them do anyway. Don't forget too "Ask, and it shall be given unto you" If you need help you have to ask for it, besides didn't 'Y' tell you to ask The Great Man? (Your Great Man)

I did ask for help before going to the shop yesterday, and the control modules turned out to be ok! On the phone they said to me that usually the modules break when robbers cut the wiring.

I phoned the shop, and they said it could be just the faulty glass element (heater is attached to the glass), not the wiring.

I was so used to aspherical lenses, they show you everything.
He installed it into my mirror, and it did heat up properly, I was glad
My love for the Universe has grown in that moment, if the mirror did work, I would be driving with a plain mirror that I didn't like! Thank you God Now I have what I want.

The shop's markings on the mirror caps are B63(left) and B52(right), BE complete and BE still
I have to find out how to erase them without damaging the black paint, looks awesome, i think I'll keep the color

Two months after I had replaced my mirrors (in January), the robbers came again
But this time they took only left mirror. Thanks in part to the older '06 models and spiritual protection

I wanted to go to the bank to renew my credit card when I saw that mirror is missing, it wasn't urgent but still kinda important, but I had to postpone this matter. But that night I slept like a baby, I just didn't care at all, my heart and mind were immune

I've received a bunch of spam from resellers and used auto-dealerships, but not one call from a real simple person looking for a used car. Yi kept saying 5 Wait, 32 Persevere, Go on, 53.3.6 and etc.
The insurance ends at 28.09.2014 and I wanted to sell the car before that date.
As the dead-line was closing I started to lower the price bit by bit, but still nothing.

Hi Ashteroid, It's almost 12 months since I sold my beloved 1973 kombi campervan and it was a sad day indeed but oh the weight of the responsibility lifting with all the things you talk about - hallelujah!
Sometimes I miss her but mostly I don't. I had another car briefly but then it broke beyond repair so I've been without one for about 6 months now and ride my pushbike around - some days it's frustrating but most days it's hallelujah! - Liss

Faced a similar situation for my C250 Mercedes. Got both my side mirrors stolen in a mall parking lot. After a lot of research found a company on Amazon (US) selling a kind of an anti theft guard for protection of side mirrors. Hope this helps!!

I think that these thefts were just telling me to let the car go. Little by little knocking on my door, demanding attention, the mirrors were a right part to steal - not too cheap to ignore but not too expensive to get me in financial trouble.
