Would I be good as an agent?
42.1.3.5.6 > 15

The casting is auspicious for acting as an agent because from the Judgment of 42 it is about making matters known. And hexagram 15 is about 'modesty', that is, considering the welfare of others. Will you be appraising the value of goods? I do not ignore changing lines, but I consider them only after I have an understanding of the situation in terms of the hexagrams. For line 6 Bradford has:

No cry for help.
The outcome will be unfortunate.

If clients do not use all the help you offer, the outcome will be unfortunate. Contrary to the saying, the customer is not always right. People ask for the wrong thing at the wrong time and for the wrong reason, and since they are paying, they get their way, and the outcome is unfortunate. So if you are working as an agent for others, expect some misfortune.

"No cry" is actually the sixth line of hexagram forty three. Forty two six says, "He brings increase to no one" But I do agree with Pocassin's assessment overall. When there are multiple changing lines it is generally best to look at the interactions between the lines, and to get a feel for the overall interaction. The sixth line usually indicates the situation if we carry things too far. Since all the lines are positive, and the judgment as a whole is as well, If line six were not part of the reading, the relating hexagram would be 22, not 15. It wouldn't change things a lot, but 22 would indicate a situation where you are under a delusion. Hexagram 15 bodes well for working for/with others. I suggest this is why line 6 is changing. The fifth line is the ruler, or the host. As such, I feel it carries more weight. And finally, the misfortune in line 6 only comes about if you do not remain steady in your new job or neglect your duties.

As I have said for other readings, it is important not to take one little thing and make it out to be the key factor. The reading has to be taken as a whole. The sixth line here is simply "not in harmony with the demands of the time" which is only true if we are not in tune with the needs of the people.

Thank you Pocossin and Gene - being old school I read
several lines as the unfolding of a situation, with inherent
warnings. So 42 is good - lucrative or increasing in some way.
However if the good fortune of line 5 is not taken to excess
resulting in line 6 - then continue humbly 15

the second hexagram saying if warnings heeded a modest
success - ? input appreciated:bows:
