Career Question, Please Help Hex 31.6 - 33

I have worked as designer with this foreign company for almost 2 years, Before I work in office with the manager around 1year, but the manager passed away and now I work from home and didn't see my head boss often, sometimes they were unclear in direction and it made me unhappy, and my unhappiness appear in the email, etc.

Before I was so frustated, resign I asked Iching what will happen between us:
"hex 61 line 3.5.6 changed to hex 11"

Then I hand my resignation letter.

Now, we have feel offended by each-other (me and 2 of my bosses) and our relationship have ended in unpleasant way (I resign - they let me go). They keep asking me to hand in all my work without telling me when will I receive my last payment. They threatened they dont like my mentality and don't want to give me recommendation, which I don't really need. My friends feel they purposely gave me a hard time so that I can leave by own because they no longer need designer. I feel unhappy, I was frustated, and asked ICHING.

"What should I do between me and this company, the bosses, etc. please give me advise"

I got Hexagram 31 line 6 changed to hexagram 33.

What does it means? Should I influence them but not talking too much and retreat or what will gonna happen between us?

Any advise will be appreciated.

I feel the answer advises its all just words and to walk away its not that important. You said you don't really need their recommendation so apart from feeling annoyed this experience may not have more real significance for you than that. Their words/your words here don't really have much of an effect on anything...so say what you need to say and walk away.

If it's more than that then you may find this advice flippant but in a while, in retrospect I don't think this episode is going to matter very much to you. This won't impact on your future....its talk nothing but talk

I have found this often plays out this way with 31.6.

I just feel it extremely stressful because I hold final work and they hold payment, it seems both of us not willing to step down in this matter.

So it will be better if I just walk away, because this won't affect my future? I have headache to think about this :bows:

This means that you have become sensitized to the situation and you need to retreat from it in order to regain your physical and emotional balance. You said you were getting headaches just thinking about them. It would be a good idea to turn in your work, because if you don't turn it in, they won't pay you.

Its hard to see how your answers fit. It looks to me like you have been bouncing off one another....not communicating really just playing emotional ping pong (61.3) In 61>11 there is a current moving through the situation (11) maybe moving you on out via all this turbulence and talk. What if it really is the right time for you to go anyway..?.I mean regardless of the conflict between you....its still the right time for you to be moving on...so the most important thing you moving on. We often need something to make us move on...here its manifested as this trouble between you.


It also looks like a lot of talk for talks sake 61.6 shows that and so does 31.6. I'm not being rude its Yi whose being rude Its like its saying to you "yes yada yada yada....whatever" like this Theres been altogether too much talk by email or whatever , and email is notoriously terrible for escalating conflict because they are so easy to misunderstand. So all this is based around what's been said and not what's happened. So maybe its time to stop emailing (or however you are communicating with them) and do something .


I don't know the full situation and don't mean to minimise the stress of it at all but I Ching is basically saying too much talking, bouncing off each other, means you are actually winding each other up, escalating animosity. Also you did get 61.5 which shows there could be the possibility of sincerity between you.

They can't not pay you for work done because that would be theft wouldn't it ? Employers can't get away with not paying people for work they already did, they would have to account for it. So keep records etc go to see them, speak to them if you haven't already but don't do any more emails because it seems really ineffective right now.

To be honest I don't know what you should do precisely only that you need to take action not send emails. Have you been in to speak to them in person ? I wonder if you did you may be able to sort it all out one way or the other ? If you actually go in with your work they will surely pay you if only to get rid of you. They won't want you there in person demanding payment that would be trouble for them.


I probably have some details of the situation wrong....but fundamentally I think you need to stop focusing on words they say, they don't mean anything,,,,just get the work in, preferably in person OR don't give them the work and go...but whichever way act rather than think about their words or yours.

I recall getting a wage slip of nothing, I mean £0.00 for a whole months work. It was an error but only my physical prescence in the pay office got it sorted.,,,quite quickly because I wasn't going anywhere until it was. I imagine they will want it settled as much as you do.

I tend to think you need to take a break or an actual vacation from them for a little while before you deal with the work still in your possession and before you go collect your money. Stopping the emails would be an aspect of that. Emailing can lead to misunderstandings, as Trojan said.

Basically, I feel they are always taking advantage of employees and just throw them away after they no longer need them. I feel wasting so much times since they always think how to make themselves richer and how to make their employees poorer.

I asked them to send half payment for half work and they also unwilling to do that. They asked me to finish all the work, give all the files, and send whatever I have first. They said they will pay but they don't want to give the date.

I feel it so fishy with all insult and not in good manner they did. I built website, video, etc. from the start and they only earn so much money now. They said all employees do nothing and get so much salary. I feel with my work, they have earning millions dollar and now you want to argue 1 month salary with me?

Anyway, I will step back and not willing to work with them in the future... Do you think they are regret or I am regret? LOL.

It's the same old story, told many times by freelancers and professionals all around the world. It would be good if you limited the time you spend thinking about the injustice of it all, like you said. The ways of the world are not fair. Looking on the bright side, they said they would pay you ... that's a plus.
