Hello everyone, this is my first request at others interpretations of my readings, so thanks in advance to those who read and or reply.

I have considered learning to become a forest school tutor and asked the questions "Is forest school a good choice/benefit to me?"

I was returned with 51.2.6>58 and use A guide to the I Ching by Carol K Anthony to understand my readings?

To me I take it to mean there will be a shock of learning something new and embarking on a new challenge then with line 2 do not think about the negatives which is what I also see in line 6

A little bit confused with the changing to Joyous Hex 58…just receiving that make me think all be will rosey but on further reading it refers to not pursuing things that we think will lead to happiness. From that I am taking that i should be cautious that I am not choosing to change just to satisfy my ego.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Hi Fire Horse,

Is forest school a good choice/benefit to me? 51.2.6 > 58

51.2 - a shock brings danger, multiple losses of your valuables (benefit), but don't run after them.
51.6 - a shock brings threats and terror. Going ahead brings misfortune. It affects 'your neighbour'.

With words such as danger / losses / threats / misfortune etc, it doesn't sound like a great idea.
Perhaps, however, after many shocks and losses you would be able to get somewhere with forestry.
I wouldn't call 58 a rosy hexagram. Its main meaning is 'exchange'. It shows negotiation.
So, after various shocks and unpleasantness, perhaps you would be able to negotiate gaining something.

I know that this thread 🧵 is from 2016, but I just wanted to chime in and say that the OP had made a mistake in the second hexagram, that 51.2.6>38, …not to 58 as stated.
