Good day everyone,
Thank you for reading my post and for your input. I’ve always had great advice from this community and learned a lot.
For some time now I’ve been unhappy at my work. I have the necessary talent to do it but there is too much resistance to change. So I’ve been thinking about what else could I do in my life that brings me the happiness and fulfillment I crave. I thought about changing careers. I’m a French teacher now and I’m thinking about becoming a translator.
I asked to the iching, what is the advice pursuing this career path? I got 43.1>28
“Strength in the toes but not equal to the task = one makes a mistake. Changes to (28) Critical Mass. Your first attempts to change the situation may have been premature. You may be impatiently pushing forward when the time is not right to instigate action. There is more examination and preparation needed in this situation. To just push forward means you may bite off more than you can chew which leads to collapse. Proceed carefully.” From cafeausoul.com
Then I asked what’s the advice on moving forward changing my life into the life that is better suited for me. The answer was 35.4>23
“Progress like a squirrel = perseverance brings danger. Changes to (23) Split Apart. You don’t have the necessary skills to accomplish something in this situation. If you try to push forward with questionable means you will not succeed. Additionally, your ethics will be in question. There can be manipulative tendencies associated with the situation so step back and identify what is wrong with it. You may be getting into something over your head in an effort to keep the situation from Splitting Apart.” From cafeausoul.com

The message I get out of this readings is that I either should not go on making plans (yet); or that I should first prepare well before making a definitive move.
My question to you all is: should I interpret thus answers as a warning or as encouragement?

Thank you for you replies 🙏🏻

43.1 : I think Yi advises you to be very careful. For example : find your next job before you change. Be sure to have a job... Indeed, I think it is a warning. So better to review your strategy to be absolutely certain 🧘‍♀️

Carolina, I assume you mean changing careers (e.g. a different job or trade). In US English a 'carrier' is usually a kind of freight or delivery service, like UPS or FedEx.

Hello Carolion;

I'm translator and have been French teacher :) I do other things to earn regular money though.

43.1 says don't make sudden, incautious changes.
35.4 says don't do anything bigger than your power.

Don't leave your job at this time, as you may face big difficulties.

Good luck
