I am applying to the fifth college for the MA in East Asian Studies, Ivy League Columbia University in New York. At first, I wasn't interested in applying as the programs weren't interesting to me until I looked up the programs when Japanese Literature also has a culture section. I already have two letters of recommendation. The admission rate was 7% but when I contacted the MA program director, he said that having an interest is the most important thing for admission.

What are my chances of getting accepted to Columbia University? 54.1.3.4 The Marrying Madian to 46 Pushing Upward.
Hex 54: Above the lake, there is thunder: the Marrying Maiden. A noble one through ever-flowing endings Knows what wears out.
Line 1: Maiden marries as a younger sister. Lame, can still walk. Setting out to bring order: good fortune.
Line 3: Marrying maiden waiting, Turns it round and marries as second wife.
Line 4: Marrying maiden overruns the set time. Delays and marries at the right time.
Hex 46: Centre of the earth gives birth to wood: Pushing Upward. A noble one with patient character Builds up small things to attain the high and great.
Is it saying that my application will be viewed positively (line 1), and will be given a green light (line 2)? When the time to give me a letter of acceptance (line 4), it is because my application sets apart from the others who are applying for the program (hex 46)?

How well will I do at Columbia University? 46.3.4.5 Pushing Upward to 47 Confined (Oppression, Exhaustion).
Hex 46: Centre of the earth gives birth to wood: Pushing Upward. A noble one with patient character Builds up small things to attain the high and great.
Line 3: Pushing upward in the empty city.
Line 4: The king makes offerings on Mount Qi. Good fortune, no mistake.
Line 5: Constancy, good fortune. Pushing upward step by step.
Hex 47: Lake without water: Confined. A noble one carries out the mandate, fulfils her aspiration.
Is it saying that I have to start from scratch (line 3), that I have to make a decision (line 4), and that I will take the program slowly (line 5), but will cause me to be limited from my choices (hex 47)?
