Compatible goals?: 22.1-> 52 or is it 10.1 -> 6?...

I am seeing this very ambitious person coming out in the Renaissance man I am involved with. I asked if his goals and my goals were compatible, and I got 22.1 changing to 52. I am not sure how to interpret this. Those are the hexagrams which result if I record using Chan's method, while it results in 10.1 (that pesky 10 again) changing to 6 if I use the standard method. (I know 6: "Stop asking already!":rofl: )

I am still in a quandary about which system to use.

Choose one and follow it awhile. That'll end the conflict and the treadin'.

As for the dude, just relax in who you are. Leave the carriage of pretension, and walk your own walk.

Just get three coins, decide on value of heads and tails stick with that then throw them. Its as simple as that. Can't understand all this confusion over 'systems' and alternative answers ?

Hex 22.1 rely on yourself and go it alone.

Hex 52 keeping still, not getting involved in worldly struggles. Peace of mind comes from not getting involved in his affairs.

This answer strongly suggests that your goals are not compatible.

It's not just a matter of designating heads as yang or yin, odd or even.

The Chan system has two X = an X line, but three X = an X line changing to a Y line.

The standard system says two X = a Y line, but three X = an X line changing to a Y line.

(There is yet another system that says two X = Y and three X = a Y line changing to an X line.)

They are not the same equation. They come up with quite different sets of hexagrams, and since I learned the first non-standard method, it is turning my assumptions upside down.

I am thinking this may be true/wise. Hard to say. Like the eight-ball which says "Answer unclear -- ask later." :rofl:
