Completely different line interpretations

HiI asked if I should go ahead and book flights for a May business trip.The response is Hex 58, changing lines 1 and 6.In my Stephen Karcher 'Total IChing' book, which I really like, the lines are very positive. "Open yourself to this influence. Dont let go of this opportunity, you will be sorry if you let go".However, I also use www.oracle-of-love.info, which is also a very good site. However the line readings are TOTALLY different. "better to refrain if not certain, satisfaction not attained".Confused? You bet!

The lower trigrams of 58 and 6 are metal and water (metal produces water), while above the change is from yin metal to yang metal. Metal produces water, but the water exhausts the metal above of 6. It shows that everything about your business hinges on your trip, so be cautious of unforeseen eventualities in your business dealings. As for the meaning of the lines, Karchers' "opportunity" can be read into it, but can easily be confused with being opportunistic, which is the opposite of what is intended.

Keep in mind that both of those quotes are commentary,
not the I Ching text itself.

58.1 is like a back and forth between friends, or a good ping pong game.
58.6 is like pleasure seeking.

The related hex is 23.

Reads to me as if you are being advised that you are open to booking the flights but you would like to feel a stronger pull, an inner calling to actually do it. 23. Collapse says to me that you are prone to not go forward until or unless you feel a stronger motivation to do so.
