I've asked the Yi a question and received 25 unchanging. I asked for insight regarding a job offer I've been given from out of my state. There are many nuances to this decision and I don't want to bore you with them, but I can't get a grasp on what Yi is saying. There are a great deal of threads regarding this and I've been reading those for additional guidance. However, the more I read, the more conflicted I feel about what this response means. Seems to be saying it's not a good idea...? or it's saying bad things sometimes just happen (that about sums up my life this past year) and we lose our innocence from such experiences (also apt for my current situation)...? (I sure don't want to take a new job, move into unknown territory based on the thought "Well, bad things happen"! Or it's saying, it's a good idea... that good or bad could come from moving and accepting this job...?

Charly says on a post (http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/friends/showthread.php?15913-what-is-25-about):
I must agree with Brad: WU WANG means NOT ABSURD, say, POSSIBLE.
Things are not what they seem maybe we need to change the light, seeing like a negative copy which results in a positive reading:

GIFTS ALWAYS EXPECTED, JUST WANTED.
HIGHT INTEREST, NO SURPRISE, QUITE DEEP.
PEOPLE GOING TO EACH OTHER, NOT PASSING.

That´s our spring blossomed park

[I apoligize, broadband collapsed]

An almost literal translation:

IT´S POSSIBLE
It can happen or it can be done.
Believe it or not.

SUPREME CELEBRATION, PROFITABLE OMEN.
Enjoy much, all be for good.
Said by the oracle.

THE UPRIGHT BANDIT HAS TROUBLE.
Maybe a favorable competitive context: a potential consumer for your goods.
There are men in trouble. Say, needy.

UNPROFITABLE TO HAVE FAR TO GO.
Useless to go too far.
Better remain now and here. If not now, when? If not here, where?
Profitable to come near.

THUNDER BELOW THE HEAVEN.
Stormy passion under command of God.
Fated passion.
No without control.
Lucky.

and Hilary says (http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/friends/showthread.php?2918-Hexagram-25-thoughts):
The title of this hexagram has two parts: Wu Wang, Not Entangled. So what does it mean to be entangled? To be without principle or foundation; without hope and - since the character shows a broken sickle or barren woman - without fruit. The hexagram means separating from all things that are barren, that have (or should have!) no place in life.

This hexagram often comes up in times of misfortune, to offer a way of dealing with it not by exploring it as something you created for yourself, but by firmly detaching from it. Some scholars have even proposed that Wuwang is the name of a disease demon (Demon Fruitless?), dealt with not with medicinal herbs (line 5) but by fastening it to an animal and sending it away (line 3). Bad things can happen that are not your fault; sometimes the best response is just to separate yourself from them.

(There is a negative aspect to this attitude, as evinced by the opposition of hexagrams 25 and 46, Pushing Upward. Hexagram 46 shows an optimistic confidence that progress is possible, step by step, and effort will be rewarded. Hexagram 25 can point to an unwillingness to get involved in trying to change anything, for fear of misjudging and making matters worse.)

Being Without Entanglement is the prime antidote to obsessive stress: it means not getting caught up in trying to 'fix' things that are not yours to fix, even if you could. And also, not being enmeshed in profitless nostalgia or anxiety, you are capable of complete presence. This is the 'correctness' of the Judgement -

'Without Entanglement,

I'm totally lost as to what this might be advising.... This is a big choice for me. Thoughts and/or experiences would be greatly appreciated

Added Emotional I Ching says of 25 (http://www.emotionaliching.com/lofting/bx111001.html) :
In hexagram 25, to express one's self strongly and openly and unexpectedly is an act of innocence since it comes from the heart and thus is not premeditated ( a moment of enlightenment). To escape from the dark side, the side of service, requires an initial act; one needs to do something and get involved with the new and disentangled from the old. The line comments show that non-involvement/disentanglement has it's ups and downs.

"To escape from the dark side, the side of service, requires an initial act; one needs to do something and get involved with the new and disentangled from the old." This sounds really apt to my present inner state/place in the world and seems very positive toward the move/job.

hi Krista!

25 is a tough one to crack for me too . . I think that, most of the times I received it unchanging, it showed either one behaving naturally, simply being, which immediately brings us closer to our own tao (and, yes, that also means accepting that sh*t happens  and just moving on) OR it has also meant making sure one does not get hit from thunders breaking out according to heaven's incomprehensible wills (so if there's a thunderstorm on the horizon, don't go standing underneath any trees, no matter how much you like it ) .. I don't know if this make it any clearer for your query, but, fwiw, I find that ambiguity is anyways an inherent trait of unchanging hexagrams and the kind of territory they are asking one to explore . .

On a second thought, if I were in your shoes, I"d probably go ahead and try to specify more by asking whether the time is favorable for this move you're contemplating - but I totally get that understanding first that 25 might be of the essence for you . .

25 is about not making compromises. trust and listen to your feelings. take your gut feeling seriously or else you get into a bad entanglement.

Really wish I could in some adequate way express my gratitude to you both for responding...and so quickly!! One million  for you!!
Rodaki: I've taken your suggestion and asked if this is a favorable time to accept this job and move. I received 52.6 in response.
Initially, I thought this was very clearly saying, NO! Stay still!. Then, I read more into other interpretations and it may be saying to clear my mind and simply accept the circumstances (of the job/move?)
If this were a less pressing and critical issue, I would almost find these 2 responses as funny and certainly demonstrating the Yi's sense of humor! However, I'm stressed with a million challenges and concerns regarding staying or going...and apparently my sense of humor is challenged as well. It seems, even the seemingly obvious answer Yi has given me here, has conflicting interpretations!
I desperately need a job and after applying for anything and everything for the past 6 months around my town, this one quite literally fell into my lap....but it's far away and I worry I should "keep still". Yet, all I've been doing for 6 months now is "keeping still" and my situation worsens: no job, stress over bills and various life circumstances, anxiety and depression seem to be settling in pretty deeply the longer I keep trying to "sit still" here and look for work.
In addition, I feel the past year has thrown at me just about all of the "innocent intentions lead to misfortune" of 25 that I can possibly cope with and remain even slightly sane!

Newlife123: Thank you! Moving for this job is certainly a big "compromise" under my current circumstances. And staying here, with no job prospects and no family here is clearly not the best of circumstances either!
I think my intuition after the past year of chronic chaos and pain(where every choice I have made backfires (in the most 25 fashion!) is totally "out of working order" .
I now feel the Yi might just be playing with me with these responses!

hello again :)

I get the feeling that if you could just empty your mind for a while, things would seem very simple and straightforward - or, at least, that's what I see 52.6 saying ;)
