confused about 41 line 3

Hey everyone,
I used to have an on-off relationship with this man. We would be lovers, then friends, then lovers again. At the end, I just got frustrated with the situation and told him that it was better that we just stop even being friends. This was more than six months ago. However, he has been on my mind all this time. I'd like to date other men, but none of the guys around me compare to him. This has made me feel very lonely. I asked the I ching if there was a chance of us getting back together on better grounds, and I received 41 line 3.
Now, does this mean that the I ching is trying to give me hope that eventually I will find a partner that I like, since I have been alone for so long?

It could very well mean what you said. Also, speaking from personal experience, i got
this line in the past a couple of times, when i had asked about people i had just met,
and it proved to mean there was 'someone else in their lives, so hold back'. Not sure if
the same will apply in your case, but i thought i'd mention it. However that, at the same
time, also means that when you are alone you will eventually find someone.

"none of the guys around me compare to him", i know what you mean; however, you
can always go for 'even better than him'. Wouldn't you also like some commitment and
stability? (which he obviously couldn't give you). Wish for what you truly want!

The line says that when you are lonely, as you are now, then you will indeed find a companion and as you are specifically asking about one man, then the answer to your question is yes. Hex 26 goes on to suggest that you can get it on once again with this man but you need to go out and do something about it, you just have to take a chance that it all works out for you.

Check what Nigel Richmond says about this line:

Here again, the answer is so simple to understand but again people are going off on tangents, and not answering the querant's yes/no type question.

I suppose that is why so many people fail in exams because they simply don't read and understand the questions being asked and therefore go off in a daze of confusion.
