Dear readers,
Can somebody tell me more about Hexagram 34 Ta Chuang/ The Power of the Great. With moving lines in the 3 and 4 lines.
The relating hexagram was 19 Lin/ Approach.
For at this moment I was asking the I - Ching what would happen to me and this was the answer.
I am still doubting to hang in a relationship or to let him go.
Because everything is only coming from me.
Although at the beginning he was acting the same as me.
Somehow things changed. I am not sure to go after him or to let him go.
I don't know how serious his case is.
I hope someone can tell me more about this hexagram.
Thank you very much already.
Love Elaine

Dear Elaine,

Just a quick response...

You say you are wondering whether you hang on, or whether you let go. Looking at Hexagram 34, line 3, the first priority is definitely to let go. It's difficult when you have all this energy invested in the relationship and naturally you want to do something with it!

But right now, trying to use your strength of will to make things happen is like the ram who charges at a hedge. He doesn't break through - he just gets hopelessly and helplessly entangled. I expect you know the feeling...?

Rather than the direct approach, the wise one here uses 'space' or a 'net'. It's like trying to catch an animal with a net: you don't run after it, you choose your position and stay still. You're not in control, you can't make things happen - so you back off, leave space, and wait for him to come to you.

If he doesn't come, then at least you know where you are, and you can use that great energy of yours to get on with your own life.

best of luck!

Hilary

Dear Hillary,
Thank you this meaning makes much sense.
Lol they are always telling me to stop controlling things.
I think this is the case again!
So I will try to listen for once???
And wait and see(hmm this does not sound like my personality but it is never to late for a change!).
Thank you Hillary!
