I am fretting, as usual, over whether reaching out to an important person in New York City (this has already been done via email, and sending links, etc.) will have the desired effect (winning him over, and gaining his endorsement and help for an arts project ). Things will be ghastly if he is silent, or negative, and does not want to be involved. Of course, that is my problem, not his. ;)

When I asked the I Ching, I received 45.1.3 >49. I like 45, I like line 1, and I like Hex 49. All implies a connection, a space for communal meeting, and change, being believed on one's own day.

What throws me is line 3: It implies sighing, distress.

Emotional I Ching says, "a lessening of the moment, a small humiliation. " Does not sound good at all. Unless it is truly small. Wilhelm says "slight humiliation". Perhaps he will criticize, but say he will reconsider if changes and improvements are made? Just thinking aloud.
Now I see that other version (do not know the name, grey/olive green website, my browser is broken and will not print links) has for line 3, that one must make things work, regardless of setbacks and humiliations. Will do.

I recall Richard Lynn's commentary about 45.3, about 2 divided lines traveling together, and arousing suspicions, or something to that effect.

Anyone have experience with 45.3? Thanx:bows:

ETA: I also asked, "Did I mess up by sending him too early, [as there are now extra things to send] and how can I rectify?" - got 21.3 > 30---I had better figure it out... :(

From Emotional I Ching: "In applying rules, an unexpected error is found, spreading poison and confusion. Once fixed no harm is done."
will fix it :)

Line 3: Go forward brings no harm, just a little trouble.
