I offer peace and you choose war.

You offer me the peace of the dead. Your 'gentleman's agreement' is an invitation for me to shut up and nothing more.
What you want, is to make often baseless political pronouncements and to sling mud without anyone commenting on their factual or rational basis.
If you have confidence in your ideas, you should consider any challenge to them an opportunity to show that you have the better argument. You're a big boy - you should be able to have a discussion on the issues in a civil manner.

I'd like to make a casual gentleman's agreement with you. (though I know you will refuse.)
On the basis that you and I probably have many better ways we could spend our time than engaging in fisticuffs, why don't we stop quoting and replying to each others posts until Nov 5th 2020? At that time, one of us can say,
"well I was wrong now wasn't I?,
I'd like to offer an apology for my tunnel vision."
To which the other can say,
"I gladly accept, would you please explain why you thought that way?"
And then an honest conversation could follow.

What do you say?
How about this proposal of a Gentleman's agreement: you agree to abstain from all political and partisan shots in shared readings, stick to interpreting the Yi, and I won't have to address the shortcomings of fact and reason in your partisan political tracts, here in the public square where ideas are freely exchanged.

You're a big boy - you should be able to have a discussion on the issues in a civil manner.

Clearly a bigger boy than you for sure.

Your interpretations are entirely 'partisan' and as for 'the public square where ideas are freely exchanged' it's not like that here, you are harassing anyone who disagrees with your political interpretations. That's not really a 'public square where ideas are freely exchanged'.

Twisting that into something else is disingenuous, eliminating context - it really isn't honest, Moss Elk.

You are saying he's dishonest ? What would be honest would be for you to go and post your political opinions in Open Space rather than litter this place with them under the disguise of Yi interpretations.

Your 'gentleman's agreement' is an invitation for me to shut up and nothing more.

A fairly generous invitation IMO.

Both sides feel a bit partisan, actually... :|

And of course, each side will feel that they are more rational and reasonable than the other...

Politics in a nutshell... :|

When you and Moss Elk dump your political emotional baggage that has zero to do with readings sometimes I respond.
I really would prefer not to have to.
Mostly I just try to help people personally or in developing their reading skills by interpreting the Yi.

What kinds of people believe that COVID-19 is a hoax?
37.5 People in the Home
(The Family, The Clan) to 22 Beauty (Grace).

Affluent people with family homes whose external appearance and the display of it (& thus their affluence) outdoors matters to them greatly?
(Maybe they spend too much on cosmetics and brand clothing to want to hide them in a house or under face coverings?
Anthropologically speaking, they are greatly invested into conspicuous consumption and status display through material goods and facial and hair cosmetics, and resist a movement that prevents this display.
Psychologically, they are dependant on displaying these trappings of wealth & "normal family status" to the outer world?)

i.e privileged materialistic consumerist people who are wealthy enough to not worry about becoming sick?

(I am thinking of not just the US, but the UK and European countries as well).
I have friends in the US who are terrified right now - most of them are single parents or carers of vulnerable family members; their income & ability to afford medical insurance are tenuous.

As Yi always reflects the question back onto yourself Fanofenka, ask youself where you are sociopolitically in relation to the "affluent family" demographic, and how this is relevant in your journey of meaning in balancing with your Tao?

It is interesting that hexagram 15 pops up here, indicating that you need to tread the "middle path" or balance yourself in relation to this issue

What will happen to the COVID-19 deniers in the coming months?
46.2 Pushing Upward
to 15 Integrity (Modesty).

Perhaps you could rephrase this question as:
"What will happen to me with these Covid-19 deniers in the sociopolitical background in the coming months?"

You (and maybe others) will succeed step by step in educating others humbly and peacefully?

I'd find it all so much more honest if this were an Open Space thread where people simply give their views about what kind of daft people make out Covid is a hoax. These would be people who think all the nurses and drs who show up in PPE for 12 hour shifts are in on the hoax, absurd not worth the time and attention they generate.

Anyway all any of these replies are in all these threads are ways of draping the answer around one's opinions and as fanofenka posts on average 1 of these every day we're ending up with pages and pages of this stuff. He himself has very little to say about the answers he posts. Quite honestly I don't know what purpose they serve.

More to the point fof could find the actual answers to these questions just by Googling, reading and so on.

I don't think there's any basis to say people who believe in conspiracy theories on Covid are wealthy, that's just another way to put one's opinion on the answer. Certainly believing in covid as a hoax is way way more a US phenomenon, it's really not widespread in the UK

In general political threads are a waste of time and nothing is learned from them even in hindsight but I understand people like to do them especially if it affects then directly, However these daily threads from fof are really a waste of forum space IMO.
