Dear All

I know I am certainly not alone in having grave concerns about the near future of my working life. I asked I Ching ‘tell me how my working life will be up to Christmas’.

61.5 Inner truth changing to 41 Sun

I read this as using my wisdom to accept the situation 61 - and 41 as drawing strength from within, accepting the ebb and flow of life. They seemed very similar. 41 is also decrease so my working life will be reduced (as it is already) and I just have to accept that as that is the way it is. This didn’t seem very positive as a reading given I am concerned. But then, that’s life and it just needs to be accepted at the moment! I was wondering if anyone had any other insight. It is hard to stay open when there is so little that is open. But that will change, I know.

Would love any further insight into 61 in particular.

Are you self employed? 61.5-41 suggests to me that you can assume that even in this time of Decrease you will continue to have some 61.5 loyal clients.

Hi rosada. Again this is a brilliant interpretation you make. Yes I am sort of self employed and am very hopeful that I will continue to have loyal employers/clients. I am glad you see that in this reading. I shall look again at the interpretations by Wilhelm and see how you come to it. Many thanks again.

Thank you Marybluesky. It is interesting that rosada interprets this similarly and so I really need to go back and see how you both came to that interpretation. Reliability or loyal are a key terms. I saw it only from my personal feelings, which at the moment are dominated by accepting the way things are and trying to be patient.. Thank you again.

One thing that helps with interpreting the lines is to read all the lines to get a sense of the whole story. For example to understand how 61.5 can be a reference to loyalty, notice how 61.4 talks about the horses going astray. So you’re in a spot where you’ve had horses - clients?- going astray but now in 61.5 we see the horses linked to you by Inner Truth remain, so what is the nature, the name, of this sort of inner truth, the inner truth that doesn’t go astray? Loyalty!
And now that we’re focusing on it, perhaps this line is also emphasizing that if you have a real service to offer you will be okay and not to stress over who goes (61.4”no blame”) and who stays (again 61.5” no blame”).
Also note how each Hexagram/line can be seen as the reverse of the one before. It‘s as if when one thing has reached its max it becomes it’s opposite. This is not always obvious and may be a bit of a stretch but it’s a useful mental exercise when you’re lying in bed trying to get to sleep at night!

The line says "no mistake", "no blame", so no trouble is foreseen.

Wilhelm/Baynes: He possesses truth, which links together. No blame.
The "truth" in your situation is likely to indicate the ability to earn money, something inside you that continues to join with clients/money.

OK that is really useful about reading the previous lines to get a sense of the story. Thank you again. You have really helped me to see how to read the lines.

Ah, yes, I see. I was finding it difficult to interpret ‘truth’ in this question. Thank you for helping me to refocus my interpretation.
