Creative Roots: Hexagram 19.2 - 24

As said last week, the job I expected to take up in July, if even available to me anymore, is highly criticised as pointless by my family, especially my elder daughter. One and all, they want to see me go back to something creative and, it feels like fun, but not like good sense, to me. To me, work is usually harder than that if you want a full paycheck, and that I need. In this economy i think -- just how foolhardy do I want to become? And yet, creativity is like falling off a log while "business-business" is dry and you do it because you must.

The next month is obviously a crossroads that I didn't prepare for. So I figured, let'd hear what the Yi thinks of creativity pour moi and I asked:

What is the result if I take this time to write books? Reply: Hexagram 19.2 becoming Hexagram 24.

Sounds like they are right, if i don't just sit around and really get the books done. At least that is my immediate thought on reading 19.2 and considering the Hex 19 overall. I don't have forever to get it right and that's the fact Jack, because my savings, slight as it is, would certainly run dry if i have no income.

Hi, this seems auspicious to me. The reading of the hexagram is that there will be great progress and success, but in the eighth month there will be evil. However, with the shifting 2nd line, the danger looming in the eight month can be averted. I got exactly this reading in one circumstance and I experienced some difficulties eight months after the reading but I could overcome then. This gua suggests that whatever you may have set your mind upon will be successful. Be wary though to remain vigilant, if you do so, you will be able to get over any hurdle in your way.
