Hello,

I applied to move to another area in my country with no possibility of going back if the joint committee takes the decision. I have until tomorrow to cancel my candidacy.

I asked yi how my life will be in this area : 55 uc

And I asked about living in another region of my country, what the yi thought about it: 47.6 = 6

I have doubt because I'd live for somewhere I have no acquaintance...

I hope you can give me a hand in this decision. Thanks!

Wilhelm's comment on 47.6 is rather fitting to your situation I think:
A man is oppressed by bonds that can easily be broken. The distress is drawing to an end. But he is still irresolute; he is still influenced by the previous condition and fears that he may have cause for regret if he makes a move.
But as soon as he grasps the situation, changes this mental attitude, and makes a firm decision, he masters the oppression.

It's time to go on from these circumstances (47, oppression) to something new and exciting.

I didn't quite understand what you meant in the first question by 'this area' - new or current one?
If 55 is about current one - it may say that it has reached the maximum potential and there will be no improvement.

I had the sense that the 55 was about the new place, I may be wrong. But if it is, the message I am getting (user warning, I'm an apprentice!) is that things often look rosier elsewhere, but that that state of bliss either does not last long (55's cornucopia is like a moment in time) or isn't all that rosy when looked at closely.

Thank you for your answers. You're right with 47.6 hex. I fear losing more than to gain in new place. Yes 55 is for the new place. Does it mean that the answer will be OK?

Hi Ashteroid
do you say that because it is unchanging?

Looking at the three hexagrams, anyway, I prefer 55 to 47 or 6
But then
47.6
Confined by trailing creepers.
Feels uneasy and unsettled.
Says ‘acting – regret’.
With regret, setting forth, good fortune.’

good fortune :)

@olga I said that because regardie wants to move out, that means that something is not right there, and that gives context to 55. Maximum/abundance that is not enough.

Regardie, about new area - 55 Legge:

Intimates progress and development.
When a king has reached the point (which the name denotes) there is no occasion to be anxious (through fear of a change).
Let him be as the sun at noon.

Gives a promise of success and abundance. Go for it.

This is probably not going to help our friend gain clarity, but my experience with 55 uc is different. It's always been akin to "this is as good as it's going to get". I'd hesitate making a life changing decision with that as my reading...

Hi!

Thank you all for handling my case, thank you for your answers. I shall give you a feedback of the situation. There is three joint comittees existing depending on your working status. Mine is the last one, and it means one takes what is left in choice, if there is still one. So the first committee held its session few days ago...and the result to my surprise, is that the person who was in the job in this area, is still there and not going elsewhere to work... so no replacement, the working position is not freed. Does this 55 uc, meaning that my actual situation is the best I can have... with no perspective hex following, meaning that? I hope I have been clear in my explanations, english is not my language :)

Thanks for following up, it is very helpful especiallyfor us apprentices :)

Well, for me, the outcome (job no longer avaible) makes perfect sense. I understood your 55uc as basically the best things were going to be on your issue. And the possibility of your being able to choose to move for this new job was indeed the high point. With the job no longer available, the decision was taken out of your hands.
