Danger #29

Hello to everyone
I am in panic because I have asked a question related to personal matter and I got
29 ->59. I have asked "Did I do well when I asked him not to call me again?"
The answer was terrifying when I read other posts. Any light here please?

Don't panic and don't be terrified! Then reread some of the posts again (without panic and terror) and notice some of the (non-terrifying) replies. Try looking at what Lise has to say about it http://www.yijing.nl/i_ching/index.html

I'm not going to give you an interpretation here because I don't feel qualified and because of the way you have worded your question which is for me too complicated by being a yes/no but I know how sometimes strongly worded answers can cause panic and I'm sure most of us have been there at some time or another.

Wilhelm is great but he does have a reputation for laying it on with a trowel!! Prisons can be in our heads and in our repeated patterns of self-undermining and i ching answers can be very mundane in the cold light of retrospect.

So, I shall leave the interpreting to wiser folk but just wanted to say leave the panic at the door, try dispersing it!

I look forward to what others have to say about this line.

It appears that you that this was indeed a mistake as Hex 59 is about reconciliation, breaking down the barriers that keep people apart, destroying the ego that makes you feel superior to someone else.

Hi Viviank,

The top line of Hex 29 is one of those warnings that seem so dire (the imagery is rather grim), but it's actually just a message that is meant to grab your attention, so don't panic. If you can see where it is that you made a mistake you can probably still recover, so I would suggest casting again to see what, if anything, you can do.
