I received a call, that my mom wasn't feeling well. She was recovering from angio plasty at home. She looked good this morning. Glowing. I bid her goodbye as I left for work. Two hours after I reached work , I rushed back , she started losing consciousness. Called the ambulance... anyway before I lost her I asked Iching about my mom as I rushed back. A carriage full and nothing I can do about. Gream reaper came and took her from my arms.

Thank you all. It was a long day. hex 14 line 2 and 4 . Carriage that is full and the line 4 says I can't control..or it's out of my hands. Hex 22 is known to appear when there is death.

Out of your hands and into the arms of those who love her who passed away, all those who loved her perhaps her mother or a grandmother, who do you think will have met her ?

It's a great reading, I see 14.2 as she was fully ready to leave and for her it's a great journey. 14.4 often read as it's not our own beat we dance to and time of death is out of our hands as you say.

I like that the change patterns here are yang 40 and yin 37, that release and then family

Actually I know it's a very well known poem but it does seem apt for your reading here doesn't it ? The voyage, ready to sail all loaded up like in 14.2. I think that would mean she had gathered all the wisdom or the deeds or whatever treasure she came to earth to get, she has it all on board ready to sail. Sadly leaving you temporarily though actually she will be very close at times in spirit but then the joy on the other shore

Gone From My Sight
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side,
spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone."

Gone where?

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me -- not in her.

And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone,"
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"

And that is dying...

(Henry Van Dyke)

I'm weeping a bit too here..... because my mum is very old and it maybe won't be long and some of my friends mother's are also dying so it touches a spot in me today.

The verse says 'able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port' that sounds like 14.2 doesn't it ?

I think Pooja this reading says quite clearly this was the right timing for her death, it really seems that way. So nothing happened that shouldn't have that, it was her time and she was perfectly ready to go even though there was all that rushing around and panic in those hours it actually was very much her time her leave. She's left by the look of it with much treasure and knowledge from this life, it's like she's gathered everything up that she needs to take into the next part of her journey.

I'm not sure of the 22, it's a very beautiful reading and I feel her Great Possession in 14 is this beauty in 22. Carrying a cargo of great beauty over the sea

Hi pooja123, sorry to read this. And, yes, it is a beautiful reading, I agree with Trojina.
She looked good and glowing, you write, the last time you saw her. I guess that her life was rich and fulfilled with 14, and that she has done well and that her life was plenty of everything. Now there is something bigger and highter.
All the very best, Mandarine.

Condolences Pooja, so sorry for your loss.

22 as context is grace. Amazing grace. Some think that grace in the Christian or religious sense of the word is different than in the sense the Yi means but I think they describe the exact same thing.
When the light comes it shines up the mountain and that love and light make everything beautiful.

14.2 This line describes accumulation of virtue, and one's wagon is full for the journey ahead. Your Mother led a full and good life, and takes all of that with her.

14.4 This line describes a wise person who knows exactly what is going on. But that is not self aggrandizing. And that realizes her own merits do not account for all her successes in life.

It sounds like the Yi was eulogizing your Mother, Pooja, I am sure she is in a better place, RIP.
