Decrease to Shock... again!

Hello fellow diviners

I cast 41.2,4,6 > 51 a few months ago when inquiring about the best thing to do to reach a goal. I received great advise in this forum, however I could not make a lot of sense of that response in the context of my query back then.

I received the same combination today as insight on the prospects of a personal situation. I have mentioned in another thread that hex 51 is recurring these days... not sure it's a reflection of my current state of mind, anyway it certainly doesn't help

The lines are not inauspicious, however I am inclined to interpret the omen mostly as a reflection of the two hexes - unexpected loss? a twist of fate leading to simplification?

I will as usual be grateful for any help in understanding this reading.

Could 51 be referring to your nerves... Have you been jumpy, or more edgy lately, maybe from undue stress. Oh, yes, I think that could be it. I didn't see, you wrote that in your post. Your state of mind. Could be... I'm gonna take a closer look.

My experience with 51 has come to be the more likely outcome is the opposite of what you are expecting, and I don't mean what you think will happen, I mean when you are almost certain it is going to go that way, well nope! The exact opposite happens. Does that ring at all true for you?

Hmmm... in my experience 51 has often indicated something unexpected. What I am mostly interested in (in fact, concerned about) is 41... Any thoughts?

I'm just guessing here really, but it is an educated guess... Perhaps the Yi is suggesting this will help to reduce your stress. Is that possible?

What I am getting from this casting is don't sacrifice too much or impose, but put your best foot forward, and you will gain something here. The phrase equal exchange comes to mind here, and it seems that is the possible outcome here, based off the way increase and decrease are reciprocated in 41.2 and 41.6. I also get the feeling, from line 4 especially, that you will want to create a draw here with your good qualities. Let this breathe, lots of room needed for things to come together. Also, the lines say more than once to persist. I take that to mean continue with the plans you had when you cast your coins. Hope that helps.

Also, my experience has been when a hexagram keeps popping up like that it is very pertinent. Could definitely be your state of mind, but I think there may something you are expecting, even counting on, that you are just flat out mistaken about. Could be something good or something bad. I hope it is a pleasant surprise! Perhaps asking the Yi about "Why does 51 keep coming up for me?"

Well what the 41 lines say to me is that "less is more", when you give to others you don't really lose anything and this brings good fortune, so don't get cranky, a good attitude is more important than external resources, take care of others.

There is a connected idea in 51 Shock, that when you have an inner sense of what is important in life, the stuff going around you doesn't shake you as much, and you can feel free enough internally to even laugh when everyone else would be freaking out.

Don't you admire people like that?

That does make a lot of sense, and totally jives with what I am getting here too. I'm getting a "less is more" feel here too. Perhaps is referring to your anxiety lately. Like Lavalamp said, have a good attitude and take things in stride.

If you are you are expecting something to go wrong, maybe the shock is things running smoothly, the opposite of what you are expecting. Shocks of relief?

Whatever the casting means, a decrease in stress levels is welcome!

I have a view of the potential evolution of my situation - not my aspiration, just the way things should go based on what I know at the moment - but by nature I am the doubting Thomas type: I only believe once I see. I'm open to different paths, and that was the sense of my question, although quite predictably my half-conscious expectation may have been the real hidden query. Glad to see the omen may be less dramatic than I thought...

The recurring 51... no no no, I'm not going to ask, don't want to freak out more

Less is more. Good motto - in fact I often repeat it to myself, and certainly have done so recently, with all the excess related warnings about my work presentation! I'll keep in mind that in the situation I have inquired about I may have to give up on something for a higher purpose and longer term outcome.

Yes, I would not bother asking about 51 either . Might just make things worse. I am a doubter myself, and I even was nicknamed doubting Meredith once by an ex boyfriend. I think it is clearly referring to . I like this pic when I feel anxious. Makes freaking out seem silly and kind of funny. Makes me laugh at myself...
