Hello all: I asked yi how I might be deluding myself in a particular situation. The response I received was 2.4.4 > 40. Being confused, I asked for further guidance, and recieved 36.3 > 24, which speaks directly to the notion of delusion. But I'm STILL confused by the first reading.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated...

Hex 2.2,4 > 40.

This suggests that you do not over think the situation, it says for you to do nothing and in that way everything will turn out fine, it further requires that you do not become confrontational with anyone you need to be reserved and keep your thoughts under control as all will be well in the end.

Ms W Fox has got it, I believe, but I'd like to add one more element both generally and in a detail. Hex 2 is about accepting the way things are, and that's the theme that runs through willowfox's reading, and that's the heart of Hex 2, I think - that acceptance of the way things are. But there's another element in Hex 2 (imaged by the mare in the text) which talks about proceeding with beauty and energy but without taking the lead. This theme crops up in 2.2, which is one of two most most beautiful lines in Hex 2, and which talks about straightening things out, just the once. So it's okay to act, as long as what you do is concerned with straightening things out.

Overall, the picture is one of accepting the situation (don't resist it, don't complain about it) while at the same time you straighten things out just the once, and this leads to release from your difficulties.

Good luck with it.

Thanks to you both. One of the hardest things about this situation is indeed letting go and doing nothing -- even though I see nothing that I can possibly do! Still, the urge to act, somehow, and the frustration at not being able to is almost overwhelming.

Well, you CAN act; you just shouldn't take the lead, is all.
