Hi,

I'm in a very confused state now when it comes to my career. I'm in a super unfulfilling job as a writer and there are rumors spreading around of my workplace planning to make some employee cutbacks. I'm already job hunting...but now I'm wondering if writing/journalism is something I even want to do?

I asked, "What action can I take to find a fulfilling and financially stable job by April?"

I got 36.1.3.4 changing to 16.

The first speaks of "Drooping Wings" -- I guess it's telling me to stop moping and pick my spirits back up?

The third is perhaps advising me to be more aggressive and competitive during my job search?

And the 4th, which speaks of a "Wounded Belly," is a little bit confusing to apply to my situation here. Can anyone lend me a hand here? :)

Dear friend,
It will take you much more time for your problem to be resolved.
It is inevitable that one will be wounded in the process of forceful advancement, hex 16.
YOU ARE WOUNDED, you lack inspiration, but you must persist.
Hex 36 lines 1,3,4 describe a dark night of your soul that you have to experience.
You should discern and accept the oncoming darkness.
You should leave in haste and disregard all criticism for deserting.
You must endure without food/job/resources for 3 days, perhaps several months.
You should take cover under a southern hunt=a place or a relationship that gives you warmth,
and WAIT in meditation on your shadow (entering the left belly),
until you would have transformed all your fears.
Then you will feel your true calling and the brightness/a good job will return.
Astrologically, I can tell you that the right period for fortunate beginnings is from July 2016 onwards...
Have a brave heart!!

It seems you feel you are being injured or in danger in your current situation. There is a lot of ill-will there and you would like to go into battle against this. But perhaps a change of perspective would be the better action to take at the present time . . . 36.1 is understood to be a conflicted state of mind in which you actually hurt yourself out of tension. 36.3 shows you getting the upper hand over someone who has been the cause of the trouble. This should really calm you down, as the situation loses its power to hurt you. And 36.4 shows you getting to the heart of the matter and understanding what you need to do.

The yang change pattern is 55 and the yin change pattern is 59. The yin pattern shows the way out of the dilemma. It shows someone who is willing to let hard feelings just melt away and who is also willing to let ill-will disperse in order to reach a solution here.

Your situation is not as bad as it seems, but realizing this depends on changing your point of view.

I feel as if the danger is the conflicted state of mind that I am grappling with. It's all very burdenous. It's frustrating to be stuck at such a soul-sucking job and, at the same time, be at risk of losing my job security. :(

I read that line and I couldn't quite figure ou who I could possibly getting the upperhand over. Maybe time will tell. When it does happen, I'll be sure to come by and let you know. And I would be so grateful if I can really get to the heart of the mater and finally understand what I need to do... Thank you SO much for your insightful interpretation.

I think I do need to change my perception. This feels like a nightmare - unfulfilling job and the risk of job loss is never fun. I do hope things look up for me. I need it...

This is spot on. I've already dealt with the burdens of job hunting for 3 months last year and it was just awful. My savings were drying up. I had to put my student loan payments on hold. Such a nightmare! And now, I thought I'd finally nabbed a secure job, but now I'm experiencing no fulfillment AND poor job security. And I feel very wounded indeed.

:weep: If this is true, I'm not prepared for this. I've already dealt with unemployment for 3 months and it was so difficult. I'm not willing to accept any darkness just yet. I'll try my best to find a job as quickly as possible and maintain a positive attitude. Thank you so much for this. When I read this line, I wasn't sure what it meant. But thanks to your insight, I have clarity. :)

Many of us have experienced nightmare jobs, Enlightenment, and my heart goes out to you at this time. If there is someone in particular at the job who seems to be the worst, perhaps you might try to see that person in a different way, maybe as a human being like everyone else, with their strengths and weaknesses. There has got to be a way through this mess! I think that this bad luck is not going to last forever for you.

Dear friend, thank you for your response!
Please don't worry! We all have more courage in our hearts than our logical mind thinks!
We need our dark periods, our misfortunes, although it sounds masochistic...
The important think I Ching told you, is that the LIGHT WILL RETURN COMPLETELY and for good!
Please, do come back in summer or later and give us the final conclusion of your adventure...
It will help us all on our adventures...
Have a brave heart!❤️
