So I recently sold an item and it sold pretty quickly. This prompted me to question my asking price - so I asked the Yi if I sold it too cheaply. A yes/no question I realize is not ideal. The reply was Hex 52 Unchanging.

I then asked the Yi to offer a critique of my selling aforementioned object? Hexagram 22.3.4>21

22. Beautifying
Line 3:

Beautifully glistening.
Endless persistence brings good fortune.
Something enticingly wonderful. It deserves endless persistence, and things will be going well.
(The object I sold is an item that glistens wonderfully)

Line 4:
Beautiful snow-white.
A white horse with wings.
It is not enmity, but a love marriage.
A haze of beauty. One doesn't want to do anything that might break the spell.
(I was kind of emotionally attached to it in a way)

But selling it was indeed progress for me.

And I think I’m hindsight I probably could have asked 300-400 more for it. Which is part of what spurred on my sense of having sold it too cheaply.

I would have read the original 52 as 'slow down, calm down, no need to second-guess yourself about this.' I imagine that if you were selling something you were emotionally attached to, there may still have been reverberations from that going on when you asked? 52 would suggest you damp those down.

Another translation of 22.4, with emphasis added:

'Beautiful like pure white,
Like a soaring white horse.
Not a robber, but a marital ally.'

The picture is of a courtship, with the suitor arriving in all his finery. The line reassures you that this is a mutually beneficial partnership, not someone come to steal from you. If for 'suitor' you read 'buyer' I think this will make sense!

Every time I got 52 unchanging it always meant to stop thinking about the issue, find peace inside of myself and dedicate my attention to other things.I get it often if I ask about the same situation in different ways. Just as you would get hex 4 if you kept asking the same question again and again.

Thank you Hillary and Strawberry. Those replies were helpful and comforting I was indeed emotionally attached to the object and it was difficult to part with.
