Do I Have a Future With Him

First post as newbie to the site and relatively newbie to I Ching so excuse any wrong terminology Hex 51 changing to 15. Changing lines 1 , 3 and 4Background is I met a guy 8 months ago and the relationship has developedThe meeting was like it was fated as he is from up north but decided to move here although he knew nothing about the place.One morning I decided to visit the little village he is in even though I hadn't been there for 40 yr.I knew the minute I saw him that he was going to play a big part in my lifeI feel I have found a part of me that's been missing and the coincidences between us are phenomenal and downright weirdTo cut a long story short he needs to move back home and although my instincts tell me I will be with him I am starting to waver and feel scared in case I do lose him Thank you in advance

One thing you're probably going to come to realize pretty quickly is that how you phrase a question is very important when consulting the I Ching and also that it's hard to decipher the answers to yes-or-no questions because the hexagrams can all be interpreted to mean both yes and no. I find it more useful to think of a hexagram as being a picture of the situation asked about. So in this case I would say hexagram 51 is giving you an image of the meeting this fellow and all the surprising coincidences have caused you to feel there is some fated tie here. It could also be referring to the upset of learning he is going to be moving back to his home. All these surprises and you must stay calm through it all.
15. Modesty also reads to me that you are to stay centered on your path, keep moving forward one day at a time without anxiety about whether you will be together or not. This is not to say that you will NOT be together, only that if you are going to be together it will be because you stayed in the moment and didn't try to manage the future.

I also think that the reading doesn't predict your future with this guy, but describes the state of attraction, shock and awe that we experience if we make an encounter like the one you describe.
The warning here is not to get stuck or lost in this shaky feelings but to stay in your middle.
Anyhow, hexagram 15 as a relating hexagram is a very good omen.

Yes, 15. Modesty is a good omen but it's important to understand what's so positive about it. It's a good omen because it describes a person who is able to quietly go about their business without being too excited about a good thing or too disappointed about a negative. Consider the sequence. 13. says we make friends. 14. says friends are the most valuable possession ever. 15. however reminds us that no matter how wonderful our friends and everything else we possess may be we still have to follow along our own path and not get pulled off center but do our job or play our tune one note at a time. But how wonderful when we can do that! How wonderful when we can go through the day not expecting too much but being grateful for our daily bread? We do our part and we see that everyone else is doing their best to do their part and it all leads to 16. Enthusiasm! A wonderful full orchestra performance with even the ancestors joining in! So whether this man has come into your world for season or a lifetime it's all good.
p.s. Personally if he has announced he is moving and hasn't mentioned what he envisions for your future together I would take 15 as an omen that even though it appears you are going to be just fine no matter what, still you should step back your expectations and really center yourself in the 15. neutral zone.

It would indeed be helpful to know to which future plans of your relationship you two agreed... and why does he leave? If you want to tell.
