Honestly, u have no idea how much this space has inspired me to change my life in positive ways.

Hi Goddessliss :)

Sorry, I am a novice here and totally useless at IC interpretation (trying to learn bit by bit...) so I can't help you with your readings, but just wanted to let you know I am reading your posts and sympathise with you.

By the way... you are not contagious are you?

does goddessliss have leprosy?

IC answers: 15.2.5>48

15 – The Monk – Modesty – A Mountain in the Earth

The first shall be last and the last shall be first. The wise man knows there is a time to shine and a time to whisper. Now is the time to practice modesty, to walk very lightly and to leave no trace. The public dislikes that which is full and reveres that which is empty. Working in the wee hours of the dawn, the monk takes from where there is too much to augment that which has too little.

2nd – The Heart of the Monk – To the ear, the morning call of the cock is but audible. However to the heart of the monk, the heralding of the new golden dawn rings true. Following the whispers of our heart, we go forth with confidence.

5th – The Sociable Monk – He invites his neighbors over for tea and serves them from wooden cups. It is best now to be hospitable and to not display our wealth, so as to lull those who would oppose us into a false sense of security. If there are rebels, it would be best to crush them now.

The IC has humor too. :D

Don't take any of this the wrong way but I do find the title of your thread quite offensive.

It is an expression that I haven't heard for years and has very unpleasant undertones. Why not just ask is there a problem with my posts? Which by the way I am fairly sure there isn't.

We had a thread quite a while ago as to what motivated people to respond to questions. The answers were varied and ranged from interest, inspiration, resonance to just plain kindness or strong experience of the particular lines. The reasons for not answering were also varied from being too busy, no interest, boredom, insuffiecient experience of that particluar hex etc., Dig it up and have a look if you are interested.

I do know that most people are interested in more than just quick fire fortune cookie type "predictions" and so I think when a querent makes a real effort to understand their own hexes and to develop their knowledge of the ching it makes for a more interesting thread and may be more likely to inspire people.

At the end of the day it is all voluntary. I, for instance, am quite erratic because I live between 2 countries and work heavy hours. Sometimes I answer loads and sometimes I go for weeks answering none. There has only been (as far as I can remember) one person (with 3 identities) (oh yes and another crazy person who was using the forum to provke fights so she could write articles for the gutter press) whom I have actively ignored and it ain't you!! Some of your thread have been very interesting so don't worry.

Either way it is not a duty....... no?

Relax - and remember it is SHARED readings.

In a community/social network you get as much as you put in. I am not knowledgeable enough about the iching to give the kinds of answers that other give. So, I try to give back just by commenting on post with some common sense. At least that way, I give *something* back. Try that, and maybe you will see more responses to your threads.

Thks laylab, u are right perhaps I shld start giving back what little I do understand, perhaps I will be of help to someone even if it is in a small way.
sometimes it takes but a stranger to say two words and you finally 'get' whatever was perhaps bothering you.
