Do you think it would be better to use a pendulum if all we have is essentially a yes/no question?

Or would it be better to flip a coin?

If you were the nameless character in Edgar Allen Poe's Pit and the Pendulum, I'd say go with the coins.. But otherwise, go with what feels most natural. Just kidding about the Poe part.

The pendulum is physically linked by a chain to you, feeling your rhythm and vibrations.
The coin is linked to you, way more indirectly, with the seperation motion of a throw and the external elements that it lands on.

Do you get a clear yes/no easily from the pendulum?
It is obvious the coins will be direct.

Sometimes I think the element that the divination tool is comprised of makes a difference.

Coins - Metal - Metal is a symbol of travel and communication (Thoughts in travel to others via words). It also symbolizes Protection (like a weapon) and money (like a coin).

If your pendulum is another element like a stone it could have varying qualities based on what kind of stone, but overall Stones represent Relationships to others, and to yourself (thru self growth).

PLUS maybe an element just gives you a certain feeling based on none of the above.

Not really. I probably need to learn how to do this better.

Yes, I'm interested in the qualities of stones. I understand that stones need to be programmed. Again ... here is something that would require further looking into on my part.

I've heard the pendulum is good for making healthy food choices and that would probably hold true for other things we plan to take into our body, like medications. Have you ever experimented with this?

On occasion I have bought something like a cookie or a muffin at the health food store and sat down in a park to enjoy it. Throwing crumbs to the birds, I have noticed that sometimes they won't eat that food! In some way, animals know what to ingest. I wish we had such good instincts!

I say neither, just meditate on the question and listen to your intuition. Depends on what kind of yes/no question it is. If it's something that can be figured out on your own just by listening to your higher voice, or through gathering and reading accurate information to rationally inform your decision. I think that's the most sensible way to handle a yes/no question. Don't know about pendulums as I've never used one but eh I would not be using it for anything health or medication related, as those are things that you can come to a decision on through gathering accurate evidence based information. I would think using divination for such questions would just complicate things and be unnecessary.

Not sure if you mean tossing the i ching coins when you say flip a coin however, I have used the i ching with essentially a yes/no question, although I wasn't excepting a yes/no answer I just word things that way sometimes. I find it answers quite helpfully still. If it's a question that I don't need to be asking it usually tells me so. If it can give me insight even if I have worded it in a yes/no way (eg. 'will I...') then it will.

I read somewhere that the pendulum is 80% accurate. Not a high enough rate of accuracy.

One year I tried to program a pendulum but it kept turning in the same direction no matter what I said or did. I began to think I was living in a highly charged field, either magnetically, electronically, or electro-magnetically.

Now that I'm on that subject, I hear there are pendants we can wear to protect ourselves from electromagnetic pollution.

Personally, I feel that this sort of pollution is very concentrated where I live, a big city with running electricity everywhere 24/7. I am really going to have to look into this. My reading on this says that this makes it difficult for me to ever rest, to ever stop moving.
