Entrepreneur: changing my role in the labor force

I've been thinking for a while in leaving the office and starting my own business. it just started as a thought, a silly idea, a stupid "what if..."... but as months went by the idea of going "solo" grew bigger and bigger. I investigated. I'm about to start a training course for entrepreneurs. Now, I'm in a point where I really want to turn my [work] life around and start my own business. But I'm scared, I'm paralized. What's my biggest aim? I need to "own" my own time. I don't mean working less hours, I mean working a lot of hours but to arrange my own schedules. I'm getting sick of the 9-6 work shift.
The fear of not Making at least the same money I'm making now as an employee is The only issue that's keeping me from making the big jump.


So I asked the I Ching: what can I do to make my business successful? (to make enough money and to be able to arrange my own schedules) and got 30.1.3>35

This is what I understand:

30: care of a cow brings good fortune interdepency. The more I care about my cow, the more it will serve me. Motivation. ...now you must draw from your inner vision and align it with events. When life becomes complicated, you need only look for the inspiration that reminds you to follow that which keeps your inner light burning. What are you passionate about? Be that. A time of great creativity or a quantum leap of insight is emerging. Clarity teaches you that the only sign post you need can be found by aligning your inspiration to the path you walk... [...] When you “unblock the openings” you can view a world bathed beneath the power of your inner light.
Passion, hard work, aligning what I do to what's my passion will bring me success. And I think that the success it self will be doing what I love.

30 Line 1: I think that reinforces the idea of holding together to what's my passion even though the path or footprints are cris crossed. What is it that you wanted? If you can align your actions with the sincerity to follow through, you will succeed.

30 line 3: focus on the now. I think it's advising me that I will think of my previous situation with regret.

35: I like this one ... Chin focuses on attitude. The idea of not striving but simply doing is at play. Remove the anxiety and ignite the power of stillness and certainty so you can flow with Tao. You might imagine all sorts of scenarios and outcomes but if your mind is focused on progress and gratitude, the outcome will always be positive. I think it's telling me that I will grow from this, it's going to be a big step indeed for me. It also gives me the idea that this change is in my Tao.

With this reading I believe that at the moment running your own business is very much an idea, a thought, a feel. Lots of thinking and consideration but not much practicality. Line 1 shows how you feel at the early stages of this project, with different options crossing your mind, the confusion of not knowing exactly which way to go, the indecision about choosing what would work best. Line 3 is advising you to find your balance and avoid highs and lows, in which you either feel enthusiastic and excited about it or negative thoughs settle in and you only see doom and gloom.

So before even getting into the details of how to make your business successful you need to work on these aspects highlighted in your reading. I would say to find the balance between thought and action, feeling and reason, bringing practical, careful planning, in line with your ideas.

Thank you Miriam! It's a different point of view / different interpretation and totally valid!
Besides, it also makes sense because I'm the early stages of the project willing to do a lot but I still don't know what the first step would be.
That's why I love to share some of my readings here, sometimes i read and hex and understand what resonates more with me. Then i post the results here and found other opinions, other ways of seeing things which make my reading more rich and complete.

Line 3 does not seem to favor your project at this particular point in time. I agree with Miriam that you should first try to clarify your thoughts on the matter (Line 1) and then after some pondering you should interrogate the Oracle one again once you have a specific project in mind. Best wishes!
