Exaggerated vs balanced

When viewing the hexagrams in the order in which they are derived through recursion (self-referencing) of yin/yang, The sixty-four hexagrams can be grouped into eight octets. These octets reflect the nature of the brain in the form of one part focuses more on balance, neutralise issues, and the other on exaggerations in expression - the octets represent a continuum from balance-extreme, thus the RIGHT side is balance and you move to the left, the extreme; the right is more 'field', more 'approximates', more integrating biased, the left more 'dot' more precision, more differentiating biased:

(ex)........................(bal/neutralise)
01, 43, 14, 34, 09, 05, 26, 11
10, 58, 38, 54, 61, 60, 41, 19
13, 49, 30, 55, 37, 63, 22, 36
25, 17, 21, 51, 42, 03, 27, 24
46, 18, 48, 57, 32, 50, 28, 44
07, 04, 29, 59, 40, 64, 47, 06
15, 52, 39, 53, 62, 56, 31, 33
02, 23, 08, 20, 16, 35, 45, 12

The sequence of:
11, 19, 36, 24, 44, 06, 33, 12 reflects the strongest emphasis on balancing/neutralising and as such the 'root' sources of the concepts in hexagrams 11 (harmonise/balance) and 12 (neutralise).

At the other end the extremes column, in the sequence of 01, 10, 13, 25, 46, 07, 15, 02 reflect the strongest emphasis on exaggerations and as such the 'root' sources of the high energy concepts in hexagram 01 and hexagram 02.

I leave the others up to you other than noting that moving from right to left for each row is a ordering of degrees of exaggeration i.e.

26 is more 'exaggerating' that 11, 05 more than 26 and so on.

Note that, given a context, EVERY hexagram can be interpreted as exaggerating or balancing. The above is the 'natural' set - to see the others go through http://pages.prodigy.net/lofting/icmatrix.html

Best,

Chris.
