Any help is appreciated.

In first year med, had the hardest exams, feel so dejected. I studied what and how I could, but never feel that Im one of the smart students. I have had 3 exams, and they went badly for me I feel. But everyone says there were hard. What happens is that I have to pass a set threshold that's calculated over these 3 exams, and if I cross that, I make it to the next yr in progression, if I fall into the borderline I take supplementary exams, if I have a clear pass I get to advance to next yr. I asked Yi Ching

"How did I go with regards to getting into Year B"?

And got 17.1.3.4 --> 39

Lost my sanity studying, dont know what to think. We get a phonecall next friday to know if we are to have a supp exam. If we dont get a phonecall we are either a clear pass or a clear fail.

I see nothing in the line text of 17 that suggests failure. Translations of 39 vary, but I understand it as 'Difficulty in Advancing'. This suggests you may have to take the supplementary exams. I hope your advance is not blocked. The world needs more doctors.

Thank you kindly sir! We hear on Fri, for the exam on the monday. So with this I can motivate myself to study for the 5 days before we hear. Wish me luck, and once again, thank you for your reply!

Update

For 9 hours I waited, I felt so sick and faint. Then got sent an email saying all students who were eligible for supplementary exams have been contacted but this gives no indication if the rest of the students are clear passes or fails. Great way to torture people I would say. Im trying to figure if Hex 39 from my previous reading fits my not being able to do anything today.

I asked Yi about me not recieving a call today, what does that mean for progress into year B?

52.3.4 --> 35

Does this mean I will progress? Is Hex 52 pointing to me now stilling my mind after i have been worried to death about this? I know people have different worries and concerns, this is my big one, I left everything to pursue my dreams.Or is my progress, advancement (Hex 35)
impeded?

I continue to think you have done well. Hexagram 52 as I understand it means to be established. I appreciate that the situation is dangerous and oppressive for you as line 3 says. Line 4 advises inaction (Don't worry) and is not inauspicious. And hexagram 35 is progress. You are such a conscientious person that I would think you would do well even without a favorable casting. This is no absolute guarentee of success, but it is my impression.

Very kind pocossin, for you to write something back. Cant tell you how much these months have take up my life, I have not even noticed the seasons change as I have been studying or trying to, I have always been a slow learner, it's like I put in 5 hours to complete a task and the smart student does it in a couple. It's been hard not to feel despair. But I know that though I take longer to learn because I have not been back at Uni for about 8 years, I know I have the capacity to heal people and be compassionate.

I am not a regular on this site, but I remember the compassion that people like you show and pay it back in my own capacity in everyday life.

I thought 52 was asking me to be still..maybe time for all the pressure and anxiety to go away. It was all smothering, maybe I need to still things in my mind. I will be keeping my fingers crossed.
