So over the past several years, mainly since the recession, I have had a few full time jobs and many temp jobs that last from 1 week up to 8 months.

But, I always got something new within a week or two, so I sorta always had a steady income. I always thought it was because I took the attitude that I would be provided for financially by the universe/god(s).

But lately I have gone the longest time ever without a job even though I am trying(2 weeks of total work in about 3 months), and although I could go back to my last job, the reason I left was because I got sick of the mistreatment of us workers.

So, I asked "How to get back the ability to attract jobs/monetary security into my life? and got 48 unchanging

A well (48) is a stationary structure which ideally provides nourishment for many, for many years. Maybe it means to keep looking for a company like that which suits you better as a place to work. Or, maybe it suggests doing some reconstruction on your own "inner well" by going back to school to open up new career options. Or, if that's not for you, maybe it's about being the well yourself, settling down, starting your own business, and being the source of enrichment for others.

"How to get back the ability to attract jobs?"
I think 48uc is saying you haven't lost the ability, it continues to be in you like a well that hasn't moved.
So maybe a different question is called for.

I like here what Nigel Richmond wrote on 井:

"...the life force is always the same, it is always there but when we cannot reach it we think it has deserted us and cry misfortune..."

My personal view is you are able to do nothing until you think there's something external to 'get back' how you wrote.

An interesting (but here seems illusory) change-related term in the text, is 改, second character of the 'judgement'.

Authors (Schuessler/Wang li, Lin Zhongjun) propose a connection between this word which implies 'change' with the character 革, 'title' of the hex. 49 'promoting' a more radical revolution.

Here I prefer a 'low profile' of 革 as "to take a (bad) turn" (Karlgren) in the light of the text in 47 that follow 改: " 改邑不改井 无喪无得" that Richter translate: "CHANGE the CITY, but do NOT CHANGE the WELL. NO LOSSES, NO GAINS."

Like an impasse.

I trace a subtle variation between "I would be provided by universe/gods" and "get back the ability" but it still lacks the subject.

Did 'something' steal your ability?

Do 'something' get back it?

It is a very hard task.
But easy to write.
