Hello everyone,
For Christmas, my aunt, whom I admire, gave me a copy of the I Ching Classic Oracle of Change, by Ritsema and Karcher.
I love this gift, but I am lost! My aunt lives too far away for us to talk on a regular basis, so a friend suggested I use the internet for help. Here I am.

I asked two questions. (I am about to graduate from school. I have one job offer with a firm I worked for during college years. Not so happy there, really.) How can I find my most appropriate position? The answer was the hexagram 14 with changing lines 1, 2, 3, and 6. The new hexagram is number 16.
Last week I asked about finding the right "fit" professionally and the answer was 26 with line 4.This "changed" to number 14, too.

Both answers seem so positive, but I am not sure what they are saying in truth. I am not trying to be lazy, but I would love to have someone with experience interpret these lines for me, so I can observe how an interpretation takes form.
Anyone?
Thank you.

Hi Gypsy,

I'm going to further a guess that you tend toward being an idealist?

Your reading speaks of your possession as it relates to the question.

Lines:
1. Prepare for the realistic challenges you will face.

2. Consider not only your interest in a field but also where it will take you. Does it provide a promising future?

3. Consider the inner rewards this job will offer to you, not just the financial gains.

6. Will this lead to your self-realization?

16 can be visualized two ways: a grand image of or in your life, and as that natural enthusiasm that makes your work not feel like work: when you are doing what you truly enjoy, or what you are ?called? to. That is, by far, the most rewarding work.

Can?t imagine a more promising answer for a bright future.

Wow, that makes me happy to hear you say that, Candid.
Thank you for the response very much. I really appreciate seeing someone interpret like this. I will enjoy using this oracle.
Thank you again.

PS Yes. I guess I AM an idealist! Hope so!
