I've had my flat on the market for 8 months. Only one buyer who backed out last October. So I asked the iChing, 'What if anything, can I do to get my property sold' and got hexagram 2. Can anyone give their interpretation as to what advice it's giving?

To me, Hex 2 UC is wide open mother earth material. Nurturing, warm, that kind of feeling. Could your flat need to appear cozier? Does it need a bit of home-staging?

It's a very broad question, as flashlight's comment indicated. I would diverge your question into (at least) two. First: "What can I do with my property in order to sell it?" vs. "what can I do to market my property in order to sell it". What I personally get from Hex. 2 unchanging is the advice to find people, who are receptive. Duh. But that is easier said than done. Spread out, use any possibility to get the message, use "community boards" in super markets, etc.

Thanks flashlight and SebastianS. I think the market is at standstill right now and there's nothing I can do. I took another reading and asked 'Why aren't people coming to view my property' and got 12.2 > 6. Stagnation and Conflict. That just about sums it up!

However, (flashlight) your suggestion about making things warmer and cosier has been taken on board. My place is a bit of a blank canvas, so I'm going to make it more homely and then get some new snaps done. Bows.

Humm.. so I asked the iChing another question - 'Please comment on why my flat's not selling' and got 8.3.4>31. Am I right in thinking it's saying I'm with the wrong agent? And if so, how do I ask the Iching to help me decide which new agent to use? Does it mean get rid of them completely?

Are sure sure sure you want to sell? With 2 unchanged, I wouldn't be that sure if there aren't any thoughts which might want you actually to keep the flat. Maybe it feels safer.

Not sure about 8.3.4|31. The related hexagram is attraction, and it looks as if the flat attracted the wrong people, or none. This can be a question of advertising and public relations, indeed.

Thanks mandarin-23, I definitely want to move and definitely don't want to keep it as moving will reduce my mortgage considerably.

Hexagram 2 is Earth.
perhaps this is a nudge for you to bury a statue of Saint Joseph in your front yard (upside down, facing your house). You can get a St. Joseph kit for $6 from Amazon.

Thanks Rosada but I don't understand your comment. Could you be clearer, or am I being thick? Ps: I'm from the UK.

Saint Joseph is the patron saint of carpenters and for some reason this makes him also the one to call on when you are trying to sell your house. You can google "Burying Saint Joseph to sell house" and you will find more detailed explanations and appropriate prayers. Many people have reported good results. You don't have to be Catholic to do this.

ok, you learn something everyday! I bought one but can't bury it as I live in a flat. Would hiding it in a cupboard say or in a box do the trick?

In my reading experience, hexagram 2 unchanged asks for some patience. Don't worry, it usually says, rely on what you've got, things will work out. Maybe in your case it says: nothing might happen.

Lucky Guy,
Maybe put it upside down in a box? Put the box by the front door? I have no experience with this so I don't know!
