Flushing is becoming the new Chinatown, while the original Chinatown in Flushing is becoming a ghost town to the Chinese population due to gentrification. My parents try to avoid Flushing as much as possible due to it being a bustling area to the Chinese population and due to COVID.

Why is Flushing a bustling area even though COVID is in effect? 43.2.5 Deciding/Break-Through/Resoluteness/Displacing/Removing/Determination to 55 Abundance/Fullness/Abundant Prosperity.
43.2 speaks of people are being desperate with their lives.
43.5 speaks of the place as an important place for the residents around the area.
55 speaks of the area being attractive.
Is it saying that the people find that place important that it has become an inclusive community to the affluent people?

Why are my parents avoiding shopping in Flushing? 4.2 Not Knowing/Youthful Folly/Immaturity to 23 Stripping Away/Splitting Apart/Falling/Decay/Overthrow.
4.2 speaks of my parents avoiding gullible people in Flushing.
23 speaks of wanting to distance themselves from the crowd.
Is it saying that they want to avoid the crowd and choose somewhere close to them?

Why do you keep posting questions where the answer is blindingly self evident !?

Look

Why are my parents avoiding shopping in Flushing? 4.2 Not Knowing/Youthful Folly/Immaturity to 23 Stripping Away/Splitting Apart/Falling/Decay/Overthrow.

My parents try to avoid Flushing as much as possible due to it being a bustling area to the Chinese population and due to COVID.

You already answered your own question without needing the I Ching at all ! You already answered yourself in the first paragraph and it is of course completely and utterly obvious why they avoid it.
