I am hanging in there, and your own and others' support is muchly appreciated. Mayhap this guy is really right for you? Could be? Take it slow - sounds like you are doing the right thing, encouraging him, but not overly so, and maintaining a certain reserve - but it sounds pretty darned good at this point.

I guess this spells it out as well:

But do you feel these readings are accurately mirroring how things are going with him??? Is "S" the gentleman?

From the Emotional I Ching: 21.6 "The professional law breaker can no longer distinguish good from bad; . . . Deaf to the law....he is dedicated to darkness." Are you sure this is not reflecting some doubt of yours, perhaps unfounded? How could things go so awry?

H4.2.6 from emotional i ching stresses keeping boundaries, distinguishing between various kinds of people and warding off possible transgressions. How does this match what you have been experiencing with your dog walker>?

Thanks for your kind words. Perhaps line 6 would not be you, but the gentleman? Your question included him, and I, like Jung, believe one can intuitively understand which lines are speaking to you, or of another. It may be that he is deaf to certain warnings from his past.

An estranged wife is pretty common in our era of separation and divorce, and it may be that the way he relates to you would be more indicative of his character than that there is an estranged wife (unless he means she does not know they are estranged)--

-in any case, nothing ventured nothing gained. Why do you think H4 would be about not emailing, just curious? I added some stuff in the above post, from emotional i ching

Well, the way I see consulting the Yi Jing: One must still follow one's own logic, and take into account the actual facts and empirical experience. Sometimes the Yi J seems only to be throwing out possibilities, not facts.

Readings do not preclude using one's own empirical experience and the data one observes. I have had warnings which went nowhere, and great oracles which fell flat.

I would not write him off yet unless he himself through his own behavior and words has given you cause to.

I am sure you looked like a sweet rose! and being casual can be modest and cute, especially when engaging in dog walking (you would not want to do that in a dress, stockings, and heels! )

I would give this thing time, and take the Yi Jing for what it is: Not a fortune teller, but a contemplative tool, which can make you hone in on your own doubts, intuitions, positive and negative feelings.

Yes, but I still say the Yi Jing in a contemplative tool, which should not preclude your taking in data with your eyes, ears, mind, and using your logic about it. It may turn out quite differently; I think the readings just may make you a bit more cautious and wary, which never hurts. JMO

Would love to hear how it unfolds.... sometimes permanence is not the test, although we do crave and need it. Well, we shall see, not written in stone, but a tendency to take into account....
