H52.5 - I'm stuck!

Hi - I'm brand new to the forum, so I apologise if this is a super old and boring thread. Please feel free to point me in the right direction so I don't waste anyone's time.

So basically I've just ended a very difficult and passionate love affair with my partner at work. I'm really stuck as I'm trying to end my emotional involvement while maintaing our very productive work relationship. I fear that this is just not possible.

Today I asked Yi if I should just forget about my partner and move on with my life, and received Hex52 with changing line 5.

Please let me know if you think this is a 'yes' to my query, and if not, what could it mean?

I think 52.5-15 advises just don't talk about it, at least until things have a chance to settle back to a sense of normalcy. Show contentment with where it is. Speaking from that position makes things clear.

Darn. I was actually hoping the answer would be yes, forget about him. But I have to admit that my intuition says we have 'unfinished business' so until that is settled, we're still stuck together. Ok - thank you! btw, I thought that 52.5 > 53?

Hi,

I am not disregarding Meng's interpretation at all, because I respect Meng's interpretations and often feel I get a lot of insight from Meng. However, I will offer my interpretation just incase it may be helpful or give yu a broader point of view.

52- is about stilling yourself, not acting, not going forward. Its a time when we often meditate so that we may learn what we can from that situation and see more clearly.

Line 5- for me basically says, talk if you have something to say. Don't talk if you have nothing to say. Either way, if you choose to talk, choose your words carefully, be proper.

53- is a step by step process, extremely slow progress, that can lead to a marriage. But... I have seen it in instances where it was a marriage of tasks to get a job done. So overall I think this message can say to you, its up to you. You can choose to stop the romantic relationship, talk when necessary for work, and eventually you will work well together. It can lead to romantic relationship but doesn't have to.

Hi Cathy, I agree with the less words spoken the stronger effect your words will have in the future. Try to stay in the present moment as best you can and just hang in there until the time is right for you to talk about it. - Liss

Thanks so much all of you. I'm very grateful. Btw I asked Yi if my partner and I have 'unfinished business' and received H2 unchanging which seems to reinforce this H52.5 reading. Guess I'll just have to get on as best I can for the time being. Thanks Yi and thanks to you all for your support

You are not stuck, you are progressing, but it is just not visible or flashy I agree with others about Hex 52.5 advising a composed attitude and would just add that with Hex 2 regarding the question about "unfinished business" I would say that even if you have now it is just not the time to try to sort this. Just leave as it is to settle.

The stillness of 52 is the counterweight for action, but it is a time of not thinking into the beyond, but being grounded in now. 53 demonstrates a similar steadiness, in action.

The talk in line 5 is usually inner conversation, self-talk. Once that becomes stabilized, communicating becomes more effective with others, it seems.
