Hello everyone,

any feedback about a reading I did for myself would be much appreciated. I asked 'How can I help myself to heal' in relation to a health issue that I've had for a few months. I have already taken lots of positive steps to heal, including changing diet, seeing an alternative practitioner, etc. So I feel like I've put in place a number of solutions to restore my health to normal. I feel that I am getting better but it's a slow process.
I got hex 22 (changing lines 1, 2, 3, 4) > hex 64.

I am a bit confused about this. I took it to mean that I am almost there but that I shouldn't follow superficial advice from others, particularly doctors ? (I have spoken to a couple of doctors who have given me a diagnosis purely based on physical symptoms, without taking into account emotional and psychological influences). I always see 64 as 'amost there'...but I am a bit confused about 22...perhaps it's telling me to be patient (have 'grace') and keep doing what I am doing?

Thank you so much in advance xx:bows:

22 is a controversial hexagram around here, but there is a school of thought that directly links 22 to health. A plant that does not flower in season has an inner reason. In this sense it can also link to homeopathy.

I think the methods you are using can directly apply to this reading, including the idea that unlike western medicine which treats the symptoms asap, the natural path is slower and so it takes awhile to get the results you want. In a sense, the body is in constant need of healing and regeneration. But when something is already damaged, the course takes longer to catch up, or at least assist in the healing process.

Let me refer you to LiSe'a site, and 22 specifically. I and many others have found it helpful with these matters. http://www.yijing.nl/hex/hex_22.html and 64 http://www.yijing.nl/i_ching/hex_49-64/hex_e_64.htm

Thank you very much for your response. Interestingly, I have been taking naturopathic herbs, some of which are flower based and I can feel they are working but it's a slow process. I suppose I am still a bit confused about 64...is there an indication of potential for improving health, even if slow? Instinctively I feel I am dgoing the right thing but it is frustrating at times !Thank you again

You're very welcome.

I can understand your frustration, but I doubt it's aiding your healing ;). The idea of 64 is "not yet", which is as you've said, a slow process.

Giving health advice in readings is precarious because if something more serious and immediate is involved, I wouldn't want to suggest not taking more aggressive measures, so keeping that in mind, based solely on your reading, it appears this process is not yet finalized, but that you're on the right track.

I'm not much of a new age type, but I do believe the mind is both the greatest cause of our problems as well as being the best cure. I have serious medical problems, some irreversible, yet my mindset still has a dramatic influence on my physical well being, and when I feel better, I look better, and when I look better, I feel better. It's circular, so somewhere I have to jump into that healing circle and begin influencing my body in healing ways. That too has a 64 nature, because there is no finish line, at least not for awhile, I hope! :) So it is not yet, I've not crossed over to other side yet. Every day I either help myself or I hurt myself; I get nearer or farther to good health. And all of that starts in my mind, and then in my diet (as you have mentioned), and exercise, etc, etc.... row, row, row your boat. Being healthy is an ongoing process. Your 22 change lines also carry this kind of message. Leave your carriage and walk, and to some degree, leave your cares with your carriage. Lend grace to your appearance: take a little time to treat your appearance well. Graceful and moist, don't overindulge or become too sentimental; keep your balance, smile, be strong, but don't force anything. Walk with grace and confidence, and attach yourself to your source, your spirit.

That's my advice to myself today as well as to you.

Thank you so much. I loved your post! Very wise words. I totally agree that our state of mind can greatly influence health and I'm doing as much of the 'leaving the worries behind' as I can :) You're absolutely right, I wouldn't rely on the IC alone for a diagnosis but it does help to know I'm in the right track. The doctor I saw pretty much took away all hope together with my sense of power....the naturopath did the complete opposite and not only gave me hope but also reminded me that I have control of my own health and body. The difference was stark! I wish you all the very best and let's try to keep our minds and hearts as positive as we can ;-)
Thanks again, I really do appreciate it xx

How can I help myself to heal?
22.1.2.3.4 > 64

64 is good for relieving side effects. My health care policy is to go to conventional doctors and follow their advice but not necessarily their prescriptions. I prefer doctors with Middle Eastern names because I have found them to be alert and well trained, and am lucky to have one now. My current doctor told me to stop taking Lisinopril, for which I will be forever grateful. Its side effects are terrible. Simply by a severe reduction in salt, I no longer need to take it. By experiment I have learned how to control the side effects of the medicines I take, so I am in control of my health, not the doctor. I recommend this policy: go to a standard scientifically trained doctor but control side effects of drugs on your own.

Thank you! Yes, lets :)

Tom, I've found the same. The two best cardiologists, including all doctors who have treated me, were Afghan, including the one who performed the pacemaker implant. He left the impression with me of a truly great man in every respect. When it's time for a battery change, I'm hoping he is assigned to me again. Not so surprisingly, I'm told that several have refused to let him perform surgery on them due to his nationality.
