I have a weird looking mole in my right leg, fortunately it's small, but it has a dark tissue on the center of it. My reading of medical web sites have told me it could be a melanoma, or a type of skin cancer.

Should I worry?

Iching says: Hexagram 39 unchanging

Personal interpretation: Get help now :rofl:

39 unchanging

Yes, you should. Oddly the Image says:

Thus the superior man turns his attention to himself
And molds his character :)

It is funny that sickness makes me humble and forces me to consider if I am being rude to other people, helping others, being self-less enough. Seriously enough my personality tends to change and become more self-aware.

Unfortunately when the scary stuff goes away, I return to my usual selfish self. Is this possible to change?. My thinking is that it is possible, but it requires work.

My only hope is I won't die, because skin cancer can be deadly. :bows:

Gamer, stop struggling with this and get it checked out pronto. You don't need the threat of sickness to make you a better person. I deliver flowers for a florist, often to persons who are near death. Sickness doesn't make them better. They are often so obsessed with death that they can think of nothing else.

Usually with hex 39 unchanging the trouble is entirely in our own mind and there is no trouble to deal with in external reality. I hope this is true of your skin growth, gamer. Nevertheless, I do think you need to get it checked out, just to be on the safe side. Please let us know what the doctor says.

39 is "Limping" in Ritsema/Karcher translation

gamer, just go see the doctor (great people). Limp on over if you must. If it's a melanoma, it needs to be removed pronto. If it's not -- and it's probably not-- you have at least established a relationship with a dermatologist.

I had a small basal cell carcinoma removed, no big deal. It was colorless. I see the dermatologist every six months. Many scary brown things crop up in my skin, but none has been dangerous. They look yukky so I have them removed, but they pose no health threat.

So see your local Dermo asap. Good luck to you. Please let us know how it goes.

Hello everyone

I saw the doctor, but he didn't came to a definitive conclusion. He said the mole was weird looking and had a mysterious scab on top of it. That said, he could not say if it was an atypical mole or something more dangerous.

A biopsy was recommended, but not considered essential. However, to do it, the mole needed to be removed for examination. As he doesn't practice other types of biopsies.

It turns out my medical plan won't pay for those things, given it's very basic. So I would have to use a natural solution to my problem.

What the I Ching has to say about a natural cure?.

Hexagram 47 -> 45

Changing lines: 2

Interpretation: Time spend on this will pay off.

What do you say?

Why don't you inquire whether or not the removal of the mole and the biopsy would be covered if the removal of the mole were done by a dermatologist; i.e., by the proper specialist for that sort of thing.

I'm not sure what you meant by a natural solution in this case. Do you mean some kind of drops that would dissolve the mole?
:)

Yes, that one. However, it might be true I have nothing. Do you think the I Ching can answer that one?.

Question: Do I have skin cancer?.

Answer: Hexagram 15 -> 48

Interpretation: It seems not, am I right?

I don't think the I Ching is very applicable to making diagnoses. It would be great if you'd get it diagnosed with a biopsy, even if you have to pay for it yourself. If it's really ugly looking you ought to have it removed so as not to repel any girl friends, present or future.
