My take on this is that you have to let go and leave it alone for a while and see what happens. The commentary on line three says, "In all transactions, no matter how innocent, we must accommodate ourselves to the demands of the time, otherwise unexpected misfortune befalls us." The line at the top is the only yang line, It corresponds with the third line, as one is yin, one is yang. Therefore, I think that line refers to you. This line says, "Innocent action brings misfortune." If the time is not right, it is hopeless to continue. Let it go for now, and see if anything changes.

Furthermore, the second line says, "we must do every task for its own sake... and not with an eye to the result. In other words, just do what you need to do, but don't try to make this one work. Finally, some translators translate hexagram forty three as "parting." It speaks of a change in conditions. Whether that is helpful to you depends on the situation, but I would suggest based on the changing lines that it is not. The hexagram's commentary in book three suggests that it is necessary to remove the one yin (female) line.
